Lovely CL - would stay again

Middle Tremollett Farm
We were spending a couple of days walking in the area (Colliford Lake, Siblyback, Golitha Falls, Caradon Hill and Minions) and needed somewhere to stay for the night. We don't need EHU so this was the best site for us. We didn't know the area at all and the owner was kind enough to wait for us at the end of the lane so we knew where to pull in and didn't miss the turning. The CMHC sign is set back from the road so easy to miss. There were 3 other vans already on the site (I think they were probably long-stayers) but there was still plenty of room for us and another if needs be. We enjoyed watching the pheasants in the adjoining section of field and listening to the owls. We had a lovely quiet evening sitting out in the sun by our van and a very peaceful nights sleep. If we are ever in the area again, we will definitely be back.

not for us

Middle Tremollett Farm
We visited this site expecting peace and quiet, no traffic and definitely just remoteness. We found that the description given is not totally correct and definitely needs updating. The site is located down some very narrow roads and we were not worried by this, we felt it meant definite peace and quiet. how wrong could we be. The traffic entering the drive for the farm and b&b was awful. People drove quite fast along this road/track and we felt it was quite dangerous at times, speeds of 20+ mph is not acceptable when driving in. There are no facilities which we accepted but we were not met or contacted by the owners at all, we had to find the water and waste etc ourselves. There is only 1 hard standing pitch and that is by the gateway, permanently occupied by a motor home, the owner of which lived there and went to work every morning at 7am. The other occupant was also permanently sited. The field was badly water logged and the entrance would definitely benefit from a few tonnes of hardcore being laid down to prevent vehicles from getting bogged down in the mud. The upside of the site is the peace at night and the clear sky because there is no light pollution but that's about it, we definitely won't be visiting again.

Nice Farm Site

Middle Tremollett Farm
Nice quiet site. Owners friendly and helpful. Have stayed here in B&B and in the caravan. The only slight drawback is the narrow road approaching the site. The road is very qiet though, and we did not have a problem getting in or out. We would definitely go back there again.
