Why stay here ...

Badgers Folly is a small, family-run, site. With five large pitches available, each with their own electric hook up, visitors are in for a treat. Nestled in a World Heritage site, next to a bubbling stream, this idyllic site is both quiet and tranquil filled with birdsong and wildlife. Why not kick back and relax in our shady glade, where the hammock resides amongst the silver birch trees next to the stream.

Each pitch is spacious, has an electric hook up and a picnic bench. There are also several drinking water taps around the site as well as dedicated WiFi for guests. Our service area has a chemical toilet tipping point, grey water disposal point, hand wash, recycling and refuse point.

We have a fantastic shop just 1.5 miles up the road that can cater for all of your needs, selling fresh bread, local meat, off licence etc as well as an Organic Farm shop just up the road. The Coast to Coast Devoran to Portreath cycle trail passes just 1/4 a mile down the road from us where there is also a cycle hire facility & cafe. A mile in the other direction you will find Perranwell Station offering free parking, where you will be able to jump onto the Maritime Branch Line Service to both the Cathedral city of Truro (8 minutes travel) or the Harbour town of Falmouth (12 minutes travel).

There are many, many local walk and footpaths to explore directly from our gate. If you're looking for a local meal or drink, then there are several options, including the Royal Oak in Perranwell Station, The Old Quay in Devoran and The Cornish Arms in Frogpool (1/2 hour walk).

Our closest beach is Loe Beach (5 miles) where you can have a bite to eat at the beach cafe or hire Kayaks and Paddle Boards (discounts available to guests). Nearby there is also the truly beautiful National Trust's Trellissick Gardens, the King Harry Ferry to the Roseland, The Eden Project and The Helford.

Yet Another Amazing Stay

Badgers Folly
We have returned for our second year and just booked our third year-that should say it all. This is an amazing site. Extremely well maintained, easy access. Best chemical waste point that we’ve seen on any CL. Private, peaceful, well designed. Alastair is a pleasure to speak to and deal with-nothing is too much bother. The location is brilliant for walks to various pubs - highly recommend The Royal Oak at Perranwell and The Old Quay at Deveron for superb food and atmosphere. We walked the cycle trail from Bissoe to Portreath and we walked to The Pandora Inn near Mylor Bridge -both all day walks from site. There are also lots and of shorter walks from site using the lanes and by-ways. We took the kayak onto the Restronguet river at Deveron and had a fantastic afternoon. This CL is probably the best we’ve ever stayed on and we can’t recommend it high enough. We go home tomorrow but will return next year to continue the adventure. There is so much you can access from this site. Thank you Badgers Folly for yet another fantastic holiday. See you next year!

Absolute peach of a site

Badgers Folly
We have just departed after a wonderful 6 night stay at this site. The pitches are spacious with your own picnic table. Grass is well kept. Excellent water pressure, clean and tidy recycling area, and one of the smartest Elsan points ever.. Easy to enter and leave and you can hear the lovely stream. Plenty to do around the area, site is very central for days out. This a wonderful CL site and we will return and experience more of the area. £20 with EHU.

Pitch Perfect

Badgers Folly
Just returned home after a 3 night stay on this wonderful site. I only wish it could have been longer! The directions and information that had been emailed to us when we booked were excellent. The site itself is beautifully kept, with large pitches, all with EHU and a picnic table each. There are plenty of water points and the elsan point and grey waste disposal kept immaculately clean. The grass was well cut and the sound of the babbling brook which runs along one side was delightful. Not long after arrival ,the friendly and welcoming owner Alastair ,came over to see if we were ok. We have a dog and he encouraged us to let him run in the secure paddock. It is very well situated for many attractions and places in Cornwall. We would recommend Healys Cider and Gweek Seal Sanctuary in particular. One, if not the best CL we have stayed on. Thank you.

Amazing, Best Ever CL

Badgers Folly
This site is fantastic-so fantastic, that I’ve just returned from staying there and have already booked to go again next year. If you want peace and tranquility, amongst wild flowers, set against a bubbling stream this is for you l. It is beautifully maintained-chemical waste point and bins are spotless. Grass is kept short and tidy. Water point is to hand and clean and tidy. The owners are amazing. All communications are prompt and friendly before visiting and when you do visit, they come and say hello and nothing is too much bother. Badgers Folky is fantastically situated for visiting both north and south coasts and there is so much to see and do. I can’t wait to return (in fact I’m wondering if I can squeeze in another visit this year)! Can’t rate it high enough!

Excellent site highly recommend

Badgers Folly
We have just come come back from a week's stay at this wonderful site with our dog. The pitches are large with your own picnic table. Good water pressure, dog walking facilities on site and level ground. Easy to enter and leave and you can hear the lovely stream behind, which you can sit by if you wish. Alistair and Sarah are very welcoming and helpful with information, if you need it! Loads to do around the area. We went cycling and did beach visits. Cafe, shops and pubs all nearby. The site is very central for days out too. This a wonderful CL site and we will be back! Joe and Sharon 20.05.2023
