Lovely stopover on our way further north

North Hart Farm
First stop on our exploration of the North east coast. Met on arrival and offered a choice of two pitches ( chose the one facing the sea view). Having read the reviews I wasn't sure what to expect, but now having stayed here we are firmly with the 5 star ones. Site is ideally positioned for our coastal tour we covered Tees to Tyne and had a trip to Durham. Middlesbrough to Whitby train line is a bargain that should not be missed. Would definitely recommend as a down to earth CL site with the bonus of EHU. Pitch price included electric which is very good for the price.

Unhappy

North Hart Farm
Poor parking area in corner of farmyard adjacent to farm buildings. Other parts of the site seemed to be used by travelling workers . Wet field ( ok the weathers been bad) long grass . No view poor outlook cheap enough inclusive of electric but will not return

Delightful

North Hart Farm
Our first trip out in our new/very old caravan. We arrived on site on Friday intending to stay till Sunday. ( we stayed for 9 days) The weather was mixed, but the site was gloriously tranquil and when the sun shone it shone till it dropped below the north-western horizon. There are beautiful walks into Hart/Hesleden Dene from the site which, for the more determined walkers, can culminate in a visit to the beach at Crimdon. (google Little Terns) There are two very good food pubs (both of which host quizzes) within 300 yards of the site in the village of Hart which boasts a very old church with Anglo Saxon ruins still on view The village which was the administrative centre of the Anglo Saxon borough of Heortness has recently given up 90 Anglo-Saxon burials. All no more than 300 yards from the CL. https://www.hartlepoolmail.co.uk/news/politics/council/saxon-burial-ground-containing-90-skeletons-found-hartlepool-housing-development-site-3105472 To be honest a fine, great value for money, friendly and conveniently situated retreat - for which I have nothing but praise. Thanks Frances and your family

Wonderful Stay

North Hart Farm
I really donโ€™t want to share this site. Itโ€™s too good but the owners deserve it. Friendly and helpful owners. We spent three weeks here in July. Such a pleasant, natural, peaceful site. As you drive up the beautifully tended flower beds either side are very welcoming. The duck pond was covered in the most beautiful big buttercup like flowers. A very natural pond with coots chattering away. I walked down through the fields every other day to the beach with spectacular sea and countryside views. The other day I walked the opposite way through the peaceful countryside. Near to shops. Local pub did great food. Far enough to still be away from it all. We will definitely come back here every year. Look out for the monkey. If you need to recharge your batteries this is for you ๐Ÿ˜Š
