Fabulous Devon site

Pyewell Farm
Great site with views over the rolling hills of Devon. So quiet and peaceful. Great walks from site and owner Jane is lovely. Stayed a couple of weeks last year and went back for another couple of weeks in August this year! Adult only. Large pitches, would highly recommend!

Lovely base to explore the area

Pyewell Farm
Stayed here for 6 nights in June. Had a choice of pitches so chose the left hand side so could see views over the fields and grazing sheep (this side also had the sun longer). Was greeted by Jane in her golf buggy with a useful welcome pack and our own food waste bucket which was lovely. Close to Tesco (turn left out of site) for your groceries and also on the way in at a finger signpost free-range eggs for sale (£1 a half dozen). We like to explore the local area and went out and about alot. Cycled to Fremington Quay (you need electric bikes as caravan site is at the top of the hill down, so consequently very steep coming back). Interesting sunday bagettes at the cafe, we shared a yummy veggie nut roast with potatoes and gravy (lots of carbs and no veg), followed by my favourite matrimonial cake (date and oats) as the portions were very large. You can access the Tarka Trail here which we did start to cycle along but rain stopped play, so we set off back to the site! Appledore lovely fishing village with red fish truck on the quay supplied every day by the red fishing boat infront (very reasonable fresh fish). We returned here on Monday night as during the summer the brass band plays for free on the quay 7.45-9pm. You can catch a ferry here to Instow if the tides are in your favour. Had a lovely meal in Instow Boat Shed. Drove to NT Baggy Point for a walk along the cliffs and Arlington Court. Lovely walk along Westwood Ho! beach parked at Burrows Country Park (£6 a day). NB If you are going for a shorter time park in Westwood Ho! as can pay by the hour instead. In all a lovely site, I can see why people return here and stay for long periods of time.

Superb!

Pyewell Farm
Just returned from Pyewell Farm after eight nights. We loved it! Lots of room on the site & lovely views across the rolling Devonshire hills. Site directions were straightforward & access was easy. This is a quiet, peaceful site. It's well located for visiting the North Devon coast. We visited Instow & Saunton Sands during our stay. Fremington Quay is just a short drive away where you can pick up the Tarka Trail with Barnstaple in one direction & Bideford in the other. Jane, the CL owner, was very welcoming & friendly. Thank you for a lovely stay Jane!

Beautiful

Pyewell Farm
What a beautiful site, a site of two halves. The actual site is surrounded by rolling hills studded with lambs and sheep with lots of wabbits and even Partridges on site. A stoll through the farm yard takes you to Shangri-la with lakes, rhododendrons and beautiful established trees. So peaceful and relaxing. What a wonderful ten day stay.

A Fab find

Pyewell Farm
A lovely warm welcome by Jane, all explained in her welcome pack. So much to see and marvel, we discovered a really great wet fishmonger, Devon and Cornwall fishery in Appledore, super friendly and helpful guys, with great fresh fish 🐠 . A great place to explore from and return to peace and tranquility, thanks Jane, you’re in our faves now
