Why stay here ...

Owners Andy, Nicky and two sons Tom and William look forward to welcoming you to our 5 CL site which is located 5 miles from Combe Martin, near to Blackmoor Gate.

Being motorhome users ourselves, we have tried to include everything we look for on a CL when we get away.

We have a level site with 5 hard standings pitches all with grey water waste, water and 16 amp electric hookup.

The CL has lovely views overlooking farmland with Wistlandpound reservoir in the near distance.

Nearby bus stop at Blackmore gate, if asked the buses will usually stop outside our gateway for drop off and collection.

New washing up area added 2021.

Drive over motorhome service point added 2021

Our up-to-date toilet block is heated all year round, has ample toilets and showers with free hot water, drying wall, fridge freezer and information desk. We also have a washing machine and tumble drier should you need to do any washing, this is worked on an honesty box. You are also welcome to collect your own free range eggs from the hen house.

During high season we have a small help yourself shop, with honesty box, selling our home produced bacon, sausages, burgers, chops and steaks.

We are a working farm and will happily show you around and introduce you to the animals, the pigs particularly enjoy having visitors. During lambing time, around the Easter break each year, you are welcome in the lambing shed where there are often tame lambs to feed.

We now have access, though the fields, to the footpath that leads to Wistlandpound Reservoir. For keen walkers there are plenty of footpaths from here, through the unspoilt North Devon Countryside.

We are very well located for exploring the North Devon coast including the villages of Lynton and Lynmouth and the beautiful Exmoor National Park.

A short drive will take you to the National Trust property of Arlington Court with many lovely walks around the wider estate, the house and gardens themselves, and the National Trust Carriage Museum.

Other local attractions include Lynton and Barnstaple Steam railway at Woodybay, Lynton and Lynmouth Cliff Railway, Exmoor Zoo and of course the beautiful North Devon Coast.

The two Pannier Market towns of Barnstaple and South Molton are a 20-30 minute car drive away.

Nearby Bed and Breakfast and glamping options for other friends or family members.

Lovely stay

Westland Farm
Had a lovely stay here, Nicky very friendly and welcoming. Facilities are fabulous and so are the views. Would recommend the sausages, burgers, eggs direct from the farm. Plenty to do in the area. Would definitely return to this site.

10 out of 10!!

Westland Farm
We have just left this fabulous site today and could not fault it. Clean and level hardstanding pitches with wonderful views over the pig pen, chicken house and rolling hills and reservoir. There is a road at the rear but it did not disturb us in any way and found our stay to be very peaceful. The shower rooms are the best I have ever seen on a CL site....Suite is a more fitting description, as each shower room has its own toilet, vanity wash basin and radiator. The shower was large and hot water plentiful. There are also airers to hang your wet towel and next to the shower rooms is an immaculate washing up room. As this is a working farm the owners are very busy but we did meet them and found them to be very friendly and helpful. We most definitely will be coming back. Thank you. Helen & Kevin Conway.

Lovely CL, dearer than most!

Westland Farm
We have just visited Westland Farm and it was an enjoyable visit. The pitches are fairly small I can imagine when it is busy there would not be much space at all but fine at this time of year. There are lovely views across the field towards the reservoir. The pitches were quite close to the road maybe 15metres, so you do get road noise in the day, it isn't bad at night. We found it was a fairly time consuming drive into barnstaple due to the windy roads but it is the perfect location for various national trust walks along the coast, Heddon valley and many more. We really enjoyed seeing the pigs, they are very friendly and come running over! We didn't use the showering facilities but they looked to be a very high standard. Just to clarify it actually is £2,50 per dog which makes this an expensive stay, dearer than most. Overall, a 4 star. Thank you for our stay!

Devon Joy

Westland Farm
Just returned from a lovely stay at this site, the owners were so pleasant to talk to and it was very good of them to just allow us to walk to the sheds and view the animals. The shower facilities were exellent , but I was left wondering where to hang my clothes in shower two. I know life on the farm is always a busy time and extra trimming returns no income but I felt the long grass between the apple trees let the site down and also blocked your view to the lake. Not the owners fault as it was obvious that they have made attempts to phase out the traffic noise by planting hedges, but there were times when you missed what your friends were saying if a loud vehicle went by, and it did disturb us early in the morning, plus a nosy motor bike on their way to work. Overall I would not hesitate to return to this site as it has so much going for it.
