Lovely off grid CL

Isle View Camping
Booking is easy with prompt reply from Dani, who normally pops in of an evening just to check all OK. Easy access to water and cassette emptying Points. No drive over grey waste. Superb view to Portland Harbour except the day we arrived when a thick sea mist shrouded everything. You can walk locally on a couple of circular walks in either direction. The coastal path is nearby but can be a bit of a scramble in places especially to access the beach. We walked along to the pub but decided the inland route across the fields was an easier option back.

Glorious view

Isle View Camping
Good sized site on top of a hill with fabulous views from every pitch. Pitches are wide enough to park sideways. The ground slopes down towards the view so we needed blocks under our self levelling feet. Very close to the SW coastal path so great for walks and you can take this path to the Smugglers Inn at Osmington Mills. The pub is geared up for high numbers of visitors with very efficient food and drink ordering points. The pub was very busy when we visited and the food quality reflected this. Great pre-arrival communication from Dani and the site was easy to find. I didn't find the site good for cycling as the main road was busy and steep but then I am not a confident cyclist and prefer cycle routes.

Just Perfect

Isle View Camping
Just returned from a two nights stay at Isle View… PERFECT … Great communication with Dani, the site is just the right size for chilling out, 5 pitches, peaceful with fantastic views, plot sizes great as allow you to park sideways to take in the scenery, lovely location, nice walk along the S W Coastal path to Smuggler's Inn for a well-earned drink and easy drive into Weymouth (you can walk but we chickened out!), stay was just what we needed...Thank you!

Laid out so everyone has the stunning view

Isle View Camping
Well maintained, ease and short access to grey/black and fresh water points for all. Love the way the forward fence is marked out for 5 sites that allow you to be sideways to the view or facing from the front. As expected it can be windy but possible to move to the back of the field near a northerly hedge and still have you line of site for the view in your pitch area in front (one camper van did this as problems with their awning) Arrival simple after having paid a week in advance you are given the gate security number. Recycling needs sorting out as only a large covered skip with doors at present. Make sure you go to Portland and see the new Memory site and also the carvings in the old Tout quarry. Smugglers Inn at Osmington Mills (next lane East) or walk on the coast path, not to be missed.

A stunning CL site.

Isle View Camping
Fabulous CL campsite, stunning views over Weymouth Bay and the Isle of Portland and lots if peace and quiet. Just what we needed. It's a well kept and tidy site. Excellent location, great beach nearby. It has been run by the same family since 2012. Dani has been really helpful and looked after us well. This site comes highly recommended from us - it was everything we wanted from a CL site. I've already booked again for next year!!
