Garstang Certificated Locations

Garstang is a small but attractive town close to the M6 in an area often bypassed by tourists, but offering plenty to enjoy.

Most notably, it lies just outside the Forest of Bowland Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, offering some wonderful scenery of high moorland and lush valleys.

Mentioned in the Domesday Book, Garstang has a weekly market every Thursday and has done since 1310. Shoppers can do everything with a clear conscience, as this was also the first official Fairtrade Town in the world.

Visitors are also very conveniently located for trips to the nearby coastal resorts of Blackpool or Heysham, the historic city of Lancaster and the Lake District.
