Why stay here ...

Set over 2 acres, this spacious, drained, level site is located on an arable working farm on the south west side of Hunger Hill Wood. As keen caravanners for over 40 years, we have put our knowledge and experience into setting out our family owned Hunger Hill Site. Just one mile from the centre of Riby village we are situated on the edge of the Lincolnshire Wolds in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. We are near to Grimsby, Cleethorpes with its beaches, and the market towns of Caistor, Louth and Brigg. The site is an ideal place to stay all year round and just two miles from the Tow Bars 2 Tow Cars.

Large hardstanding pitches (9m square) with electric points (10 amps) and hard roadway have been arranged to suit every outfit with an option of grass pitches in dry weather. A club quality service area with drinking water, grey water disposal, chemical disposal point and recycling area are all available on site. An information kiosk with tourist attraction leaflets, books, DVD's etc are available. Well behaved dogs are welcome if kept on leads on the site and there is access to a dog walk in the woods. Children are welcome with space to play and an adventure playground in the wood and Nature Trails to do.

The site has open views overlooking the countryside with sun all day and fabulous sunsets. The adjacent wood and wildlife pond has benches for you to sit and enjoy the peaceful surroundings with wildflower areas attracting native butterflies and birds. Various walks have been created around the farm with families and dogs in mind and you may learn a little about arable farming. The farm walks will take from less than 30 minutes to an hour and pass our local model flying club's area. Please see our website for information or Facebook Page for weekly updates.

Back again

Hunger Hill CL
Our second visit to this excellent site but hopefully not the last,. Very handy for visiting Towbars2TowCars and Cleethorpes and is worth a much longer stay than we had time for this visit. In addition to my comments of August 2021, 3 miles along the A18 in the direction of Louth at the junction with the A46, is a very convenient large Shell garage with a well stocked Spar shop and Gregs.

A little gem!

Hunger Hill CL
What a truly beautiful little site and a wonderful retreat! It’s a five van site that’s beautifully maintained with hard standing and EHU. The owner popped over to see us everyday but was so friendly and welcoming, the site is also very child friendly. The site has a private woodland next to it and the owners have created several trails including a nature trail, fairy walk and Room on the Broom trail. These are beautifully done and the attention to detail is fantastic, our children loved them. There is also a large wooden play structure in the woods, a large pond with ducks and fish (fish food was provided). The owners have detailed lots of local walks and gone to the effort of laminating walk cards to borrow, advertise lots of local amenities and the site had wifi too. A little gem, thank you for a lovely stay x

What a credit to the owners

Hunger Hill CL

Fabulous site where attention to detail and the needs of visitors are obviously very important to Claire and Co. They have done a superb job of making all aspects of this site a delight to stay at for adults and children alike. CaMC take note, much could be learnt from our experience here which could be applied to those ‘main’ club sites.

Platinum Jubilee Weekend

Hunger Hill CL
We stayed on the site over the Platinum Jubilee Weekend and had a super time on this great CL site. We met up with friends for a party, all vans had bunting, flags and decorations, great party atmosphere! Lovely site, very friendly and helpful owners, made our stay special. Easy access to Cleethorpes and surrounding areas, good local supermarkets and pubs! Thank you Hunger Hill CL!

Lovely Site

Hunger Hill CL
This is a lovely site, easy access very level pitches and a wonderful dog walk into there little wood. We stayed here for 2 nights as we had to go to Tow Bars to Tow Cars, 5 mins up the road. We didn't meet Claire but she did call us to check that we had arrived OK which was so nice of her. We had a great breakfast the day our car was being fitted at TB to TC at the Little Tea Pot is was lovely and great value for money. We also had fantastic Haddock & Chips at the Pig & Whistle, (may be best to book) and they were both dog friendly. When we are in the area again we will be staying here.
