Why stay here ...

A well-maintained little site, overlooking open country but only 500 yards from the village centre and canal-side attractions. Stoke Bruerne, home to the Waterways Museum, is a picturesque village on the Grand Union canal in a beautiful area of South Northants. A busy little place, alive with colourful canal boats. Relax at one of the two pubs by the canal - both serve food - or try the Indian restaurant with takeaway service.

This site is also ideal for golf, fishing and Star Gazing.

Dogs are very welcome on our site.

Lovely off grid site in great location

The Home Farm CL
The site is reasonably flat, mostly grass. Useful motorhome water fill up point on hard standing not far from entrance. The car park from one of the pubs is next door, so a certain amount of noise from that. One evening was a bit noisy, but overall very quiet and peaceful. It really is only a couple of minutes walk to the canal (and we have mobility problems) which is very interesting, always something going on. Nice little museum, with cafe. Good ice cream shop associated with The Boat Inn on the wharf. We need more sites like this.

A gem of a site

The Home Farm CL
Stayed here 4 nights for 2023 Grand Prix weekend and cannot recommend the site highly enough. Perfect location and setting for a peaceful stay. Very picturesque canal side adjacent with several locks and moored barges to stroll by and a choice of waterside pubs and restaurants. Very dog friendly with some wonderful footpath walks from site. Just a pity the Grand Prix got in the way, though a very convenient location for anyone visiting Silverstone. Special thanks to the owner who couldn’t have been more helpful.

Gorgeous site, great location on the canal

The Home Farm CL
We stayed at The Home Farm in June 22. The site is beautiful, easily accessed, well kept, quiet & peaceful with a lovely owner. There is enough H/S for at least 3 vehicles/outfits. The location is perfect for walking down the canal and is literally a couple of minutes walk to 2 pubs and The Spice of Bruerne Indian Restaurant. The Indian is why we chose this site after a wonderful meal there a year ago when we were on a canal boat trip. The visit this time didn't disappoint. 10/10

Gorgeous canal side site

The Home Farm CL
We stayed for two nights and wish we had booked for more. The site is mostly level and well maintained. As there is no EHU there is freedom to set up anywhere. There are clean and convenient waste disposal facilities and an easy five minute walk to two pubs and an interesting canal museum. We were a little perplexed as to where the locals bought their groceries as there is no shop in Stoke Bruerne, and poor shops in the nearest village of Roade so make sure you bring you own supplies. Of the two pubs, we favoured the lovely old Boat Inn which is a locals pub where we were received in a very friendly manner and where you can relax outside and survey the to-ing and fro-ing of of the often not so skilled boatmen and women. This is a site we will return to in the future.

Loverly site

The Home Farm CL
Loverly location, near the village, very quiet, (no hook- up, no problem). We loved it, will be returning.
