Views to die for, friendly, tranquil site 10 out of 10 highly recommended

Lower Moorend View
What can I say, return visit wow what a view, beautiful tranquil site, hosts could not be more accommodating, benefits onsite toilet block very clean. Water and electric to each pitch, most amazing pub/pubs within walking distance. Can't wait to return again. Lovely young couple running the site and they do it so well, just look at the view from your pitch for yourselves you won't be disappointed. Great get away from it all, lovely walks direct from site. Great to see a young family operating so well. Well done. Our favourite CL site.

May Day Bank Holiday Weekend

Lower Moorend View
This was our third stay since getting our caravan in October 2023. The site is nicely kept and is on a slope but the pitches are level and blocked paved so are excellent in the wetter weather. The facilities are limited to one male and one female toilet, a 10 amp supply of electric with water available at each pitch. We have a dog and unlike a previous review have never seen the owners dogs on any of our 3 visits. The site is an excellent base for exploring the surrounding area with a pub within walking distance.

Bank Holiday Weekend stay

Lower Moorend View
Stayed here over the recent early May Bank Holiday weekend as wanted somewhere for our first outing in new campervan that wasn’t too busy. Booking done via email and paid via bank transfer. £23 per night plus a £1 a night for the dog. Level hard standing pitches great in the recent wet weather. EHU and water for each pitch. Metal hut containing two toilets and a wash hand basin. This wasn’t cleaned whilst we’re staying (but was kept ok by those using it!) and did run out of loo paper! Lovely aspect over rolling countryside. Walks straight from the site. Character pub walking distance down the road and a bit further on is another pub and village shop at Waterhouses. Everyone very friendly. Would recommend for those looking for a bit of peace and quiet.

Mixed feelings

Lower Moorend View
The views from this site are spectacular. It is located in a lovely spot, close to a pub and has nice clean ladies and gents toilet. Pitches are flat and easily accessible. We had an issue though with dog poo. The neighbors next to us let their tethered dog have a poo on the pitch then didn't move it. On the last day, I took my own dog out at 6.30am and was greeted by the farm dog running loose and peeing up my awning. It also had a poo on the pitch right next to us. While packing away both my partner and myself stood in more poo.

Nice Views

Lower Moorend View

This is a lovely site with cracking views over rolling countryside. The pitches are large and flat with its own water and electric and are plenty big enough. The toilet is basic but its clean with separate ladies and gents (a word of advice though they both ran out of loo paper a day after our arrival) there is no shower. The entrance is a little tight but not overly so but be careful of the dog that lies in the drive way - he is friendly and likes a tickle and doesn't always get out of the way. We feel its a tad expensive at £24 a night but we would certainly return for a weekend.
