Ipswich Certificated Locations

Ipswich is the county town of Suffolk, and is packed with historical gems, cultural events and fantastic dining opportunities for visitors.

At the heart of Ipswich lies Cornhill, where you’ll find a bustling market. From here, it’s easy to access the glittering waterfront, which boasts a myriad of restaurants, bars and cafes.

On the way to the waterfront, visitors will find themselves at The Saints, a historical area where many of the buildings date back to Tudor times. The famous Cardinal Wolsey, from the court of Henry VIII, was born here, and a statue on St Peter’s Street marks his place of birth.

On the eastern fringe of the town you’ll find Blackfriars - an area of bars, eateries, coffee shops and independent businesses that takes its name from the historic remains of Blackfriars monastery.
