Quiet site, reasonably priced

Islabank
£22 per night with EHU is a good deal these days and the site is definitely worth it. Stayed for one night as a stopover up north and I was pleasantly suprised. The site is quiet despite the fact there were a herd of cows in the field next door and a train line about 200 yards away. When I first arrived I thought it might result in a disturbed sleep but both are very quiet at night! Access is easy and directions are good. Didn't meet owner but the telephone contact was friendly and helpful. The site was full on the night I stayed there. Not 100% certain but the hook up point I used only had four slots so not sure if there was a fifth hook up elsewhere. If you are on pitch 5 or 2, make sure you have a long 25 metre cable (my 25m cable just reached when I was on pitch 5). Definitely consider staying again next time I am heading north.

A little disappointed

Islabank
We thought that this was a rather expensive site at £22 a night with electricity and regardless of an awning. There was no dog walk available during our stay, except to use the quite busy access road. There was also noise from the A9 and from the adjacent main train line. It was difficult to access the A9 southbound requiring you to turn right across the A9 or travel through Auchterarder.

Another visit to this convenient and lovely site. Friendly owner, good size pitches, good veiws. We were the only ones on the site, which was a pity as it was so good.

Excellent CL

Islabank
We have just returned after 8 nights at this great CL. It is well laid out and facilities are excellent and clean. We were given, from the friendly owner, some lovely eggs, small but very tasty. The only thing I could suggest that may improve it is that the two hard standing areas for each pitch are labelled where the car and caravan/motorhome should park, This would save anyone parking too close to another outfit. Common sense should prevent this but regrettable not everyone posses this. We will certainly return.

Top CL Islabank

Islabank
1st time at this beautiful Cl, it is extremely clean, with excellent facilities, it has been well thought out prior to the owners constructing it, I can’t think of anything that the owners have missed. The pitches are clearly numbered so when you phone the owner she arranges to call later to complete relevant paperwork. Must also say extremely nice people too, we will be back at some point.
