I get a lot more leave from work than my wife does and so regularly tour solo, usually in pursuance of a couple of hobbies that my wife doesn't particularly share.......
I equally enjoy my trips whether solo or with someone. I tend to organise my day slightly differently if solo and really enjoy only having to factor in what I want to do.....
I'm hoping my better half doesn't leave me, but I would still be an avid tourer whatever....

It is also possible to be solo some of the time but not all the time. I usually travel with my husband but sometimes with one of my nieces. I also do several solo trips per year. Not sure what you would call me really: touring-fluid? socio-neutral? Contrary-Mary?

Hello, I've just joined this site , my first posting. hope I'm in the right Area ! I am a Solo Caravanner Glad I'm not alone ! I had a 2004 Freedom Bijoux bought 2016 sold after lots of maintenance in 2021
I now have an Eldiss Xplore 2019. Lots of room for a solo Caravanner. 4 Berth and a motor mover too ! Weight approx. 1043 Kilos plus motor mover. which could be up to 30 extra kilos, but I might be wrong.
It was a learning Curve with the Freedom Bijoux. It was well over 10 years old .I really should have joined this club back in 2016, when I bought it . It was my first Caravan. But that's another Story.
I need to change my Tow Car. My current one is a kia Soul, 16.00 but now getting expensive to run. I'm thinking of something 2 Litre, possibly Skoda , or Ford , Or Seat , but nothing ridiculously large . Possibly second hand, no more than 4 years old.
Any ideas , Folks, Thank you

Welcome, WB.
I think you might get more views and responses if you post in the Towcars & Towing section where there are several similar threads to read.
Basically, the recommendation (not law) is that you need to make sure the fully laden weight of your van (MTPLM) as stated on its plate is round about 85% or less of the car's kerb weight (more or less its unladen weight). The weight of the mover is counted as part of your payload while the MTPLM is the weight that matters.
2 litre sounds good 👍🏻
