I didn't get chance to watch this when it was aired a few weeks back, but have managed to catch up on the 4 episodes this week. I really enjoyed the programme and thought it was worth watching.  I think it it may be available on catch--up, for anyone who is interested.... it was on Channel 4.

He's quite an interesting fellow.  I think he gas a degree in ceramics....  I don't think he is married, but he has a personal assistant who appears to organise his life - a very ordinary, down to earth lady.

I have to say, I've always enjoyed Benidorm- totally bonkers!!  🀣🀣

Perhaps you'll see him differently if you watch the Glamping programme.  If you do watch it, let me know what you think...

Have seen him on a couple of celebrity' quiz shows he is not as stupid as some of the programmes he appears in

I think he was on The Chase, JVB.  I always think the comedians are some of the brightest folk....  They have to be quick at reacting...  If we're watching a Quiz programme and we pick our 'favourite to win', I always go for the comedian.

Have enjoyed some of his previous offerings but only watched the first part of this series. He was in another caravan series set on a static van site, filmed in the Lakes District. Obviously finds humour amongst vans. laughing

Looked him up on Wiki...married twice, two children...yes I liked Benidorm too, ridiculously watchable.

Didn't know he'd been married Brue.  I think the first of the 4 programmes was the least watchable.  We put them on record, I watched the first and was a bit 'underwhelmed' so the others were just left on the V box.  I gave them another go by watching g programme 2 last night after choir practice and watched 3 & 4 this afternoon.  The second was better, but the 3rd & 4th were definitely the best.

I quite liked Carry on Glamping David, I just watched the last one tonight that I recorded while we were away. Underneath all the joking and clowning about you can tell he really wanted to make a success of the site. Good luck to him, it's not a place I would stay but I wouldn't mind looking round at the units, they certainly look different.laughing

Glad you enjoyed it, Neveramsure.  As I said above, I thought it got better as it went along.  Like you, it's not the sort of thing I would stay in - I think I'd rather have my own caravan, but also wouldn't mind going to have a look around.

couldnt help thinking that the converted bus would become a bit of a faff if you were using it for a couple of weeks, but my main concern would be the site, it looked like they had used quarry chukies which are mixed with a type of greyish sand/cement like substance that when wet sticks like a paste to your shoes, only watched the last episode, not for me but many will go just for the novelty factor undecided

I think one or two of them had possibilities for a bit of a faff, Rufs, to be honest, and, being me, I couldn't help thinking, it would have been nice had they have made more effort to surface some of the roads.  Also, we saw no evidence of a toilet block or CDP.  I don't remember seeing evidence of EHU either....
