Good paperwork from start of booking. Site well signed and welcoming. The site hut is full of useful and tasty goodies for sale. Pitches large and flat.
Waste water, refuse and water all well laid out and easily accessible.
Perhaps just missing the personal welcome or check that everything is ok.
Peace and tranquillity
This is a beautifully kept site in a quiet location away from major roads and other buildings making it a perfect spot to enjoy a peaceful few days. Follow the directions for easy access. Also an honorary mention for The Shed, the site’s home of camping essentials and treats!

A beautuful gem of a site
We have just returned from a lovely weekend (not long enough) at corner cottage, from arrival to departure we felt chilled out. The site itself is beautiful, quiet and clean. We were worried about the forecast for heavy rain as its grass pitches but they are level and even though the rain bypassed us we were assured the pitch would drain and no pooling would occur. The pitches are big and roomy, enough room between pitches to sit and soak up the sunshine eith a glass of wine without being "too near" your neighbours. Our cocker spaniel loved the field which is safe and secure. There's an on site "shed" shop which has everything from afternoon cream tea to tea bags and toilet fluid....an honesty jar and if you want to spoil yourselves you can even order a farm fresh English brekki! Wonderful hosts who don't bother you but pop over just to say welcome, a site we will definitely be visiting again and again.
Peace and serenity near Newark
Had a brilliant week here while we checked out local towns, villages and countryside before bringing our boat to a mooring on the Trent. Probably the best CL we have stayed in and we have stayed in a fair number over the years. Very friendly and helpful owners and nothing was too much trouble for them. The pay-as-you-go self service tuck shop was a nice touch, and the bacon & egg butties for breakfast were spot on. Lovely rural feel to the site without being agricultural. and it's nice to know we'll have a base in the area when we are not on the boat. We'll be back.

One of our Fav CL sites
Found this gem of a site a few months ago, we have just enjoyed our second long weekend stay here, it has large pitches and is nice and quiet, the site is well laid out and well maintained, there are also some essential items that can be purchased from the reception area. There are plenty of dog walks. Andy and Maggie are really nice and welcoming and have this site set up superbly. We shall be back to visit again shortly. Highly recommended site A+++
Perfect
Stayed from Friday 18th - Sun 20th June. Very peaceful and extremely professionally run site. Some really nice touches - reception shed and shop stocked with essentials at great value for money; remarkably COVID secure - plenty of opportunities for sanitising and staying safe. Well spaced out and fairly secluded. An ideal spot for relaxing. Definitely recomended
A Super CL
What a super site. Easy to find and a great welcome from Maggie. A large field and plenty of space between pitches and very quiet and peaceful too. The reception shed is well stocked with essentials plus super fresh cakes and bakes delivered. A lovely site and definitely worth another visit.

How Delightful!
Only stayed the one night (Sat 12th June 21).
Arrived early after checking with Maggie via email that this was Ok to do.
The site is accessed via a single track road (Church Lane) in good condition of about 1km.
The site is flat and very well kept indeed. The pitches are well spaced with ample room for car, caravan and awning.
A tree swing exists for children as well as a 'hut' with various 'field' games that may be borrowed as well as having other essentials you may be short of. The owners also offer a 'breakfast' service!
We did a local walk to Collingham through the fields (3.5mile round trip). The Royal Oak pub serves Craft Beer. Most welcome break after a walk on a very hot day.
The setting is picturesque in the Nottinghamshire/Lincolnshire countryside.
Highly recommend this site.
Lovely Welcome from Maggie and Andy.
This was our second visit to Corner Cottage. We would have gone more often but lockdowns got in the way. Corner Cottage is a lovely tranquil site set in beautiful countryside. The pitches are very spacious with a huge area to the front of a level well kept field. Recycling and rubbish bins are close by and fresh water, waste and chemical waste disposal just a short walk away. There is a well stocked reception area with many essential items that may have been forgotten situated in a garden shed ;) purchases may be paid using the honesty system. If you order before 3 p.m. Maggie will deliver breakfast in a large bap which we can vouch for as we had an egg and bacon bap and a mushroom bap on our last morning, absolutely fabulous should have had it more often during the week. Maggie and Andy are really friendly, never in your face will stop and talk if you talk to them but otherwise leave you to yourself.
Fantastic walks nearby whether you have children, a dog, both or just by yourselves. Nice and easy, you can photograph maps in the shed or ask for a photocopy which Maggie and Andy are happy to supply.
We would thoroughly recommend this site and hope to go back many times.
