We stayed at Orchard Meadows for 8 nights during a 'changeable' weather period in early May. The site is very well situated for walks and not far from Cirencester. Pitches are all allocated on your arrival, with your name and pitch number displayed in the noticeboard just inside the gate. Lovely wide access and easy route in via M40/A40. Peter came across just after we arrived and gave us very detailed and insightful information on the local walks and attractions (along with maps) which we found really useful. The site is slightly sloped and a little uneven in places so it took us a little while to get level. (There had been a LOT of rain) The views are lovely, and the road alongside mostly quiet. There is an information hut with lots of up to date local information and many leaflets.
Bibury is a 15 minute walk via the road or you can go with Peters marked out circular walks (which include some nice stops)
We walked both the 3 mile loop and the 6 mile loop on our first 2 days. The longer walk takes you to Coln St Aldwyn which DOES have an open Pub (a bit pricey but nice) and a fabulous Shop/Post Office/Cafe (guess which one we went to) which serves lovely fresh coffee and pastries plus lunch. Definitely do the walk from the site along the bridleways first to Coln St Aldwyn then you walk back to Bibury along the river, very pleasant indeed...
Cirencester is definitely worth a visit. We visited Diddly Squat, Jeremy Clarksons place, but go early and get there just after it opens to avoid the queues...and Bourton on the Water. (Very busy, many asian tourists)
I would NOT recommend the Model Village as it looks as though it has seen better days. Also, there seems to be a tendency to add a service charge to every cup of coffee that you buy in the Cotswolds...
The Catherine Wheel in Bibury is within easy walking/tottering distance. The 'Twig' in Bibury does very nice coffees and sourdough toasties...
If you do go to Cirencester, try to visit 'Jacks' for coffee and cake, £6. Very nice and reasonable prices.
In short, the site is perfect and spacious all the facilities are clean and well maintained, the owners are very friendly and the fact that each pitch has their own water supply is fab. The area is generally more expensive, but what do you expect...its the Cotswolds!!!
Beautiful CL Site
We stayed recently on Orchard Meadow and it was wonderful place to stay. The CL is very well looked after, very clean and the generous spacings between the pitches allows for a good deal of privacy. Peter was very knowledgeable and gave us good advice on local places to visit and the information hut provided us with plenty of ideas for days out. We will definitely return.
Orchard Meadows
This is a beautiful CL, very well kept and very peaceful. Being a working farm there will always be the odd noise but nothing to distract you from enjoying caravanning! Will most definitely be returning....
Perfect CL!
The site was very easy to reach and we were met by Peter who told us all about the area and gave us info and a map for walks etc. And while we were setting up, Julie appeared with ice creams for our grandchildren! ( and lollypops on another occasion .... how kind is that! ). The site is, as the title says, perfect. It's a good sized, well mown field with a line of trees between the field and the road. There is minimal traffic noise from this small road so the site was very peaceful. It was very useful having our own water tap. The site is definitely well placed for Cotswold villages and we'd definitely return. Thank you for a lovely stay!

Lovely CL near Bibury/Cirencester
We were traveling to Wales and booked this site for its convenient location for 3 nights on route. It turned out to be a great little site. Well located within walking distance to Bibury and Cirencester was a short car journey away. Lovely hosts who were welcoming and informative about the local area in general. What we did not expect from the booking was a serviced pitch and Free WiFi which was an added bonus.
We would highly recommend this site and will be visiting again
Weekend away
The perfect CL ,everything a CL should be. A perfect weekend.

Perfect site for exploring the Cotswolds
Had a wonderful couple of nights stay at Orchard Meadow. Great location for exploring the Cotswolds with an easy walk to Bibury and a bus from the top of the road to Cirencester.
The site is very clean with plenty of space to ensure privacy. We were in the Meadow which is not adults only, the Lodge was fully booked however we were advised that they rarely get children visiting and we didn't have any during our time.
Very friendly welcome, provided great information on local walks, pubs etc and even a little shopping list if we wanted fresh veg.
Will definitely be back many times!
Excellent location for visiting The Cotswolds.
We stayed for a couple of nights to visit Bibury. The CL was easy to find due to the excellent directions from the owners. The owners gave us a warm welcome, made their availability known ( if we needed them) but apart from that were discreet. The walk into Bibury was about 15 mins and was safe and easy.
All in all a pretty, peaceful and convenient location. We would definitely revisit this site.
Great find
Our first time at Orchard Meadow. Warm welcome from Peter introducing us to the CL and surrounding area. Plenty of room on this well laid out site. Peter is a wealth of local knowledge and based on this we had a ramble along the old Hay Lane to Bibury village and a morning out at the local classic motor hub. Left with some lovely home grow veg. Looking forward to returning. Thank you from Jackie and Brian.

Great CL, Great Location
What a find. Beautiful site in a lovely location, within easy walking distance of Bibury, and very well placed for visiting other locations in the Cotswolds. The grass field was kept In wonderful condition, and having your own water supply and waste piped into the trees was brilliant. Peter was there to welcome us and give useful information about the area and facilities, also providing some local walks complete with maps. The fresh vegetables were an added bonus.
