First Class CL

It's not difficult to understand why this CL has won so many awards. Easy access and always a warm friendly welcome to this immaculately maintained CL. Clean toilets and showers, well maintained grass and garden areas, neatly trimmed perimeter hedges and large hardstanding pitches make this one of the very best CL's in the Caravan Club network.

Photos don't do it justice

A bit late with my review as we were here mid-September, but, better late than never. As the title suggests, the photos of the site do not do it justice. It is huge, extremely attractive and so well kept. As already mentioned, the showers are lovely, clean, spacious and modern, just be aware, that, if like me you tend to take a while in the shower, the lights go out but a quick wave of the hand outside the curtain turns them back on again! Nothing is too much trouble for Bruce and Ann, such a lovely, friendly couple. One of our sons was taking part in the Wales Ironman and they presented him with a bottle of wine on his completion of it and even offered him a bed in the house for the night before so he could have a good night's sleep as we had another son travelling down to watch him, and a shower in there afterwards. We didn't take them up on it but were grateful for the thought! They recommended a couple of eating places and we went to one, the New Inn at Amroth, which was my kind of restaurant and where we had a very tasty steak. We've been to Tenby a few times before although not for a few years but discovered places we hadn't been before including the beach at Broadhaven south, absolutely beautiful, and only a stroll along from Barafundle, also a beautiful beach which we already knew of. We visited St Govan's Head and St Govan's chapel, the weather was perfect as was the day. You're never short of anything to do in the area. Admittedly the weather was good which always helps. We will be back :D PS Cannot understand the comment about the road and trains, especially the road, didn't hear a thing, and the trains are very infrequent. As previously commented it's quite pleasant to hear them anyway.

Excellent CL

We've just enjoyed a week of cloudless skies on this wonderful CL.  Extremely well kept grounds with fully hard standing pitches (car awning van) that are well spaced out providing privacy to each pitch.  Owners Ann & Bruce are very friendly & helpful & work hard to keep it immaculate.  Two shower rooms wth toilet & basins plus a separate WC. Never had to queue once. Road & train noise not at all disruptive so can not understand previous comments as train is very infrequent. We quite enjoyed hearing it pulling into station which backs onto the dog walk area.  Bus stop is right outside main entrance, plus a very good road network.  We've never visited South Wales  previously & found so much to do in Pembrokeshire thanks to tripadvisor & the information hut on site. Definitely recommend Pembroke falconary we had a wonderful afternoon at Picton Castle with the birds of prey.  Due to the fabulous weather we enjoyed exploring the many coastal walks & different beaches & secluded bays every day. Again thanks to tripadvisor we ate out at some wonderful pubs, cafes & restaurants.   Without doubt we will return to this CL to explore Pembrokeshire again - let's hope we are as lucky with the weather next time.  Thanks for a wonderful stay Ann & Bruce!

Excellent CL

This is a beautifully laid out CL with an excellent toilet and shower block and the whole CL is beautifully maintained. The owners are very friendly and helpful. The only downside for us was the noise from the road and the trains, but we wouldn't hesitate to stay again if in the area.

The best!

We are traveling around UK for six months so staying at a lot of CL sites. This is the best one by far. Bruce and Anne are very welcoming and helpful. Excellent position for South coast of Wales. Excellent facilities. Thank you.

Well worth 5 stars!

I visited this site for a short break, unsure what to expect as a new member of the Caravan Club, and my first foray to a Certified Location.  The site is spotless and beautifully kept. Pitches are large and at this time of year the hard-standing was a bonus. The owners could not have been more helpful or friendlier.  I took a bus to Tenby and walked back along the Coast Path, which I highly recommend, though there are some rather steep climbs! Overall I was delighted, and will be visiting again, as there is so much more to do and see in the area.

A Fantastic CL

Everything about this site is second to none , you won`t be disappointed , excellent facilities, excellent owners. We had 2 weeks here , weather was unpredictable but the site made up for that , such easy access, just a shame it wasn`t nearer Devon as this would be a repeat booking.

Hillcroft...A Real Gem Of A Site!

Wow!....They said it was good in reviews, but we have just returned from a four night stay at Hillcroft, and would say that "Good" doesn't do it justice....It is simply superb! It is a beautifully kept small site which is secluded, and yet is in easy reach of the wonderful attractions of the Pembrokeshire coast and country park. We have never tried a CL before, and have read mixed reviews about CLs in general, but reviews about Hillcroft were so positive, and they have had so many awards and accolades, that we were confident that we had found a gem....we were not disappointed in any way...from the immaculate lawns, level gravel hard-standings and super shower/toilet block, Hillcroft ticks all the boxes....and then some! Thanks for a great stay Bruce....we will definitely be back!

Best CL

The best CL we have visited so far and in such a wonderful location. This is a very attractive site with really good facilities. Toilets/showers modern and spotless. Bus stop just outside and train station a short walk away in the village of Kilgetty where you will also find a Coop, Post Office and Fish and Chip Shop. Also nice walk into Saundersfoot or Amroth. We loved our stay here and shall be back.

An outstandin CL

There is nothing negative to say about this site, the facilities are spotless, the location is excellent (both bus&train stops within walking distance) and lovely view from the site. You do need to book well in advance for the site though because its excellence is no secret! We are Lucky to have 3 stays booked for 2014&we can't wait already!
