April showers

Lovely site on a working farm. Friendly owners. very clean toilet/washroom. very interesting old farmhouse. Access into field a bit tight but once in there plenty of room and moderately level. will definately be returning.

Interesting site

Warm welcome, liked the freedom of the site. Need long leads to take maximum benefit of space. Toilet and hot and cold water at sink. Loved walks around the perimeter. I found noise from road irritating, it was mainly quiet through the night.

Visit April 2015

A sunny open site but sheltered from a strong breeze by surrounding trees. Mainly flat and plenty of room though the hookups are close together - wished we had had an extra lead. Excellent site for dogs although no walk on site - also Croft Castle NT estate a short distance away excellent for dog walking in a wooded valley. TV reception excellent.  No problems with the grass - just mown! Well placed for Ludlow, Leominster and Wales.  Charming owner who was very helpful. Would use again if visiting the area.

Visit 7 June 2014

This is a very peaceful CL with plenty of space, although a bit uneven. Access is a little tricky as the site itself is entered through a quite narrow gate at 90 degrees to the also narrow approach lane. Water filling and toilet emptying are a bit basic. TV reception is poor. On the day we visited the grass badly needed cutting.

Excellent location

Very handy site for surrounding area. Nice clean toilet and washing room. If only they would cut the grass more often

Nice little CL with plenty to do locally

We spent a weekend at this site and would have no qualms at all about returning. There was plenty of space and it was lovely and peaceful. The surrounding countryside is very pretty and there are gorgeous little villages all around. Very close to two National Trust properties (we found wild raspberries on a woodland walk at Berrington Hall - fabulous!) and also to Leominster, which has an abundance of labyrinthine antique shops. This is apple country, so cider everywhere - great after a good walk! Mrs Ruell is really nice and totally unobtrusive and, unlike at some CLs we've been to this year, she's installed a clean, well-kept toilet that's an added bonus. Add to this the very reasonable per night price and you can't go wrong.
