A delightful venue

We spent 9 nights on this well appointed and peaceful site surrounded by superb countryside and within easy reach of many interesting places. The owners, Peter and Joyce were most welcoming and friendly and are very keen to receive visitors to their site. Access with the caravan was easy as the narrow approach road had several useful passing places. We have visited Shropshire with our caravan on many occasions over 40+ years and experienced a variety of CL's and this venue will certainly be added to our 'specials' list.

Ideal country site

This is a lovely site - we have just spent 9 nights here. Peter and Joyce are very welcoming. All fully serviced pitches including WiFi. Excellent dog walk. We explored the area to Welshpool, the steam trains and canal. Llangollen, Chirk and aquaducts. The Berwyn mountains and waterfalls. A real treat.

A "must visit" site

After a long journey finding the main road to this site closed due to a barn fire at a local farm. We were almost ready to give up and go elsewhere as we had a long detour around narrow roads to get there..  We're glad we didn't as the owners were most friendly and gave us a warm welcome armed with a welcome pack full of local information on places to visit and of things to do.  The views were lovely and the site was quiet and tranquil which we loved. We even had a welcome visit by the local squirrel who appeared to show us where he was burying his nuts for the winter lol.  Each pitch had its own grey water disposal and fresh water as well as electric hook up.  We only stayed for one night to break up our onward journey. If we hadn't already been booked elsewhere we would have stayed, but we will definitely be back for a longer stay.  This is a "must visit" site, so do yourself a favour and do it!

Middle of Nowhere

Or so it seemed. Only about 8 miles from Welshpool and 12 from Shrewsbury but it truly seemed in the middle of nowhere. A lovely clean and tranquil site with a great dog walk on site. It was nice to have the option of wifi, tv and phone signal for when you had to get back to reality. We will certainly return to this site again when we are next in the area. Beautiful views of the surrounding hills and a lovely open feel. Owners were very friendly and welcoming and easy going as we were unsure how long we would stay which was really helpful.

Border Delight

This is a fabulous CL with 5 fully serviced pitches all maintained to a very high standard. The owners Peter and Joyce are the most friendly and welcoming people you could wish to meet. The views are spectacular and the site is great for visiting the border towns and local attractions. The on site dog walk is the biggest we have encountered. The local fish and chip shop is only 2 miles away in Halfway House and next door to this is a small shop selling essentials. There is a good choice of supermarkets in Welshpool - a 10 to 15 minute drive away. Great site, great time, great people!

July break

Satnav took us to the site using the post code with no problems at all. The lane is not a problem as it is well maintained and lightly used. The welcome pack was very useful and the owners gave us a warm welcome on arrival. This site is ideal for a relaxing, quiet break and the view is excellent. The pitches are gently sloping which means that they are well drained and setting up/leaving is easy. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and there are some super pubs within a ten mile radius. Thank you both!

Lovely welcoming site

Very pleasant site, each pitch having its own hook up, water and waste, our visit was for the Welshpool Air Show and this was ideally situated.  We found lots to do in this area and Peter and Joyce were very helpful and friendly. It's a very peaceful site and well drained and is very well looked after, it also has wifi. We will certainly visit again. Well done Peter and Joyce.

Peaceful

This is a lovely site with very friendly and helpful owners. Good size with each pitch having its own water, waste and hook-up. Site is slightly sloping so we had a bit trouble putting the waste water hose into the drain but with a bit of lifting and lowering here and there we managed. The only downside is that the electric hook-up is 10 amps. Not a lot in the area for tourists so you have to travel at least an hour or more to get to places of interest. If you are after peace and tranquillity I can highly recommend this site.

Perfect Getaway

This is a first class CL in an outstanding setting. The access is easy yet secure. The pitching field spacious and even though service points (with individual connections for each pitch) are shared with a neighbour there is still plenty of space between pitches.  Peter and Joyce are friendly and attentive hosts and always keen to help out with any problems. The vistas are tremendous with the bonus of Red Kites going about their business really close by.  Peter and Joyce deserve plenty of support from members to ensure they can maintain their very high standards.

Boo and Bob's first caravan adventure!

Mountain View is easy to find, narrow road from the main road, but the local drivers were very accommodating! Serviced pitches well worth the slightly higher cost, no lugging aquarolls or waste containers around! Lovely countryside site, smashing dog walk which is a mowed path around the adjoining field - Boo and Bob thoroughly approved! Mr. and Mrs. Biggs called on us on our second evening to see if everything was okay - which was nice of them. Lovely weekend - THANK YOU.
