A peaceful haven

We received a very warm welcome as the first visitors to Greg & Louise's site. It is very well laid out, clean and the 'Hut' was first class. Having a water tap on the pitch was a nice extra ! A luxurious CL in every way. Thank you Greg & Louise, we'll be back!

We would come and stay here every weekend if we could!

Everything (all good, of course) I want to say about Poole Farm has already been said in the other existing reviews, so I am not going to duplicate. We are very lucky to live only 29 miles away from Poole Farm, so have been here several times before. I have just voted Poole Farm to be my "CL of the year" and would come back again and again!

It doesn't get any better.

We stayed at Poole farm from the 24th August, for 7 nights. It was all you could wish for, peaceful, wildlife on the doorstep, massive pitches that have there own fresh water supply, fences between each pitch, hard standing,16amp, this is our second trip here, it's worth the 350 mile trip to stay here, for us. The owners, are there if you need them, but not in your way in the slightest. We had told some close friends about this site, and they came and stayed with there caravan, at the same time as us. We watched a kingfisher flying around the stream area that runs threw the site. The shower area is spotless, lots of information, all there in the racking. The grass was kept in lovely condition, and all cuttings collected up. All this for £14.00 per night, and brilliant unlimited Wi-Fi for £5.00 a week, that works great. We will be back again next year.

Just Brilliant

There are no other words for this site.  David and Diana could not be more friendly or helpful - nothing is too much trouble. The site is immaculate and a credit to them.  We will definitely be going back!

Cornish delight

Just spent a week at this fantastic CL. Excellent facilities and a great welcome from David and Diane. Several birdfeeders around the site near to the pitches so you can see the birds coming and going - really lovely You can hear the river Tamar as it flows near the site and there have been sightings of Kingfishers. Close to several places of interest including Clovelly (tourist trap but really lovely) the Tamar Otter centre- really worth a visit. Visited Eden project ( can get a discount via the site but we used Tesco vouchers). Tavistock worth a visit - best not to go on a Monday as the market was closed when we went. If only we lived nearer we could go to this CL for weekends!!

The best CL we have ever used.

We stayed here for 2 nights following on from our 10 month European Tour. We continued the tour around Devon & Cornwall. Picked this site out of the CC handbook and boy are we glad we did. Huge pitches with electric and water, lovely shower room and info hut. We received a lovely welcome and all the info we needed. This site is a credit to David & Diana. And to cap it off wifi is available for £1 a day...MAGIC I too will be voting for this site as CL of the year, this is what every CL should aspire to be like. Thanks Dave & Jan Johnson

Absolutely lovely

My husband and I along with our little dog have just spent two fabulous weeks in the sun at this beautiful little retreat. We were given a very warm welcome. David and Diana are very helpful chatty and friendly. Our pitch was delightful, the best we've ever found , it was more like our own little garden rather than the usual you find as it was so big and well spaced from other caravans. My husband was happy not to have to collect water everyday as each pitch has a tap. The views all round were great. Our dog loved the walkies area it was like a little meadow with a meandering path. It was very pretty with seating as well, Jessie had great fun playing fetch games there. Care is taken with little things like bird feeders dotted around the site and the trees and planting add to the whole setting. David and Diana work very hard to keep it all very nice. The toilet and shower are fine and clean. There's plenty of tourist info around too. All in all the best place we have stayed, and we have stayed at many. Couldn't fault it. When we had a problem with our caravan upon leaving, dave and another guest helped us out, I don't know what we would have done without them. Lovely place, lovely people.
