One of the easiest reviews to complete. Lou and Greg are one of the best hosts you would like to meet. Previous reviews simply say it all. Lou cannot do enough for you to ensure your holiday, weekend or overnight stay is the best that it can be. Yes the access road into the site is narrow, there are passing places and it is quiet, but once you arrive, boom!
A warm welcome, all the facilities are explained, superb welcome pack, and a happy smiling face from someone that loves doing what she does. Communication throughout the booking and arrival is spot on, yes, we ordered the sunday roast and thank goodness we did, what a meal.
The site is spotless, the toilet facilities are superb and there is even a 2nd toilet, saves having to wait for someone to leave the lovely shower room, and you can even listen to Radio 2 whilst you are in there.
The dog shower is a superb addition, especially after a muddy walk.
On departure there is even an opportunity to fill your boots with homemade jams, chutney and honey.
BTW - make sure you treat yourself to the full English breakfast, heaven on a plate.
You will arrive as guests, but leave as friends. We made a detour to stay at this site, and believe me, it was well worth the detour.
