Fabulous

Very friendly welcome, great facilities, everything immaculate. A wonderful place to stay and the delicious home cooking delivered to the caravan is amazing. Lou and Greg do everything they can to ensure your stay is the best it can be. Definitely top of the list of CL sites. Kath & Ian

Exemplary cl siten

We stayed here for 8 nights at the end of August/Sept … it was just exemplary! Everything was as we would wish all sites were like… immaculate toilets & showers, perfect surroundings & very relaxing with a great size, serviced pitch. Sadly Louise & Greg were away on a much needed holiday but the freezer was well stocked & the lovely Amy was friendly & helpful. We shall certainly return !!! Chrissie & Bill Hopkins

Faultless

One of the easiest reviews to complete. Lou and Greg are one of the best hosts you would like to meet. Previous reviews simply say it all. Lou cannot do enough for you to ensure your holiday, weekend or overnight stay is the best that it can be. Yes the access road into the site is narrow, there are passing places and it is quiet, but once you arrive, boom! A warm welcome, all the facilities are explained, superb welcome pack, and a happy smiling face from someone that loves doing what she does. Communication throughout the booking and arrival is spot on, yes, we ordered the sunday roast and thank goodness we did, what a meal. The site is spotless, the toilet facilities are superb and there is even a 2nd toilet, saves having to wait for someone to leave the lovely shower room, and you can even listen to Radio 2 whilst you are in there. The dog shower is a superb addition, especially after a muddy walk. On departure there is even an opportunity to fill your boots with homemade jams, chutney and honey. BTW - make sure you treat yourself to the full English breakfast, heaven on a plate. You will arrive as guests, but leave as friends. We made a detour to stay at this site, and believe me, it was well worth the detour. Thank you Lou for making our stay so special. Bailey says hello, he's missing his little treats.

Outstanding cl site

What a great site! This is without doubt the best CL site we have stayed on, from the moment we arrived nothing was too much trouble for the hosts Louise & Greg. We were greeted with fresh coffee & biscuits and shown around the site, The facilities were outstanding and spotless. The hardstanding pitches were immaculate with fresh water and waste. We ordered the Sunday lunch, which was delicious and delivered to our pitch! The complimentary cream tea was a lovely touch and the glass of Pimm's was very welcome on a warm day. I can without doubt recommend this site and hope to visit again soon. Denise & Andy.

Perfect holiday

I first want to start by addressing the review left by CT66, Caravaner from Wiltshire. We were staying at Poole Farm for two of the five nights that Caravaner from Wiltshire stayed and we were on the next pitch to them. I am astounded at their review, the people who stayed in the Motorhome were extremely polite and I barely saw them. When I did see the young girl, which was very rarely, she was extremely polite and none of the family caused a problem, we didn’t even know they were there until we drove past. Caravaner from Wiltshire did spend all day working from their caravan though so maybe they saw more of them. Greg spoke to us and we told him the Motorhomer’s weren’t a problem. Please don’t let their review deter you from staying at this wonderful site. I can’t agree with Caravaner from Nottinghamshire enough with the review that they have given and I agree completely with their comments. We had a wonderful two weeks stay and it’s like no other site we have stayed on before. It’s just perfect.

What More Could You Ask for?

We have been visiting Poole Farm for many years, this is our go to site for peace and tranquillity. Its popularity is indicated by how far in advance you have to book if for example you want to request a specific pitch for extended stays (we often stay in excess of 20 nights) but even if this can't be accommodated all the pitches are superb fully serviced hard standings. The facilities and other offerings such as cooked meals are top notch and fully deserve the praise you read in the reviews. We do use the main CAMC sites to support other activities but its Poole Farm that's the first port of call for a ‘proper’ holiday when in the south west.

Amazing!

Where do we start.... After caravanning for over 20years, never have we found a site such as this one! We are 3 adults( daughter has learning dis') From arrival where Louise and Greg met us and gave us a thorough introduction to the entire facilities, to our affectionate goodbye we were treated as valued visitors..like everything we experienced mattered. Our pitch-3- was huge..we could site anyway we wished.we had plenty of room for the canopy.we chose to park the car over the otherside so we had lovely views of the garden and dog walk field..Although there was room on our pitch, all the pitches were of a generous size. The dogs could run freely in the fenced off field while we sat in the swing seat sharing a glass of something cold. There is a hut with delicious jams, pickles and home made meals for sale, Along with essentials and novelty gifts, where you could use the washer/dryer,iron and washing up facilities...paying into the honesty jar.So no need for pound coins etc. Next to this is the superb doggy shower which is geniously designed to save our backs with a doggy ramp into the shower tray, warm water, doggy shampoo AND hairdyer!! Next to this is another hut with seperate loo alongside another loo and shower..all toiletries included..All where kept spotlessly clean. In the welcome pack is lists of food which can be ordered, made by Louise and delivered to your van at a time choosen including croissants, cooked breakfast and an extensive choice of evening meals, we had home made pizzas one night...OMG they were delicious. As was the sunday roast- all at exceptionally good value...ohh and the complimentary cream tea..yummy! The weather was mostly very warm..imagine our delight on a chilled afternoon playing board games on the lawn when ice creams were offered to all guests and later that day jugs of Pimms was brought round too! If that hasnt persuaded you...the site is approx 30minutes from Bude and a couple of other seaside resorts we visited several times, other days we stayed on site and chilled. All of the other guests we spoke with are repeat visitors and several have booked again for next year, as we have done too. We thank Louise, Greg, son( sorry we have forgotten your name but wish you well in your studies and with your driving lessons) and of course Rufus the dog.Look forward to visiting again next year From Daron, Ange, Steph..Jake and Dolly

Perfect holiday

Thank you Louise and Greg for a wonderful stay on your CL. Poole Farm is unique in its perfection. Such commitment to making each guest feel special and yet not being intrusive. The site is beautifully maintained. The wishy washy hut and the toilet and shower were well used during our visit and yet always spotless. The meals delivered to our caravan were superb, something unique that we have not experienced before. The pitches are of good size and fully serviced. The dog field is wonderful even for those of us without dogs. The swing seat at the top of it, looking down onto the site is a perfect place to sit and reflect. Louise and Greg work so hard to ensure holidays with them are special. Good luck with CL of the year. You fully deserve to win. We just managed to get our vote in on the second night of our 12 night stay before voting closed for this year. Thank you for making our holiday special. See you again next year. Steve and Sue.

A quality CL site in a great location

Had a week here in the middle of August. Really wish it could have been longer. The site is kept clean and the facilities are spotless. The access road from the main road is a single track lane and can be a little scary but in the week we were there we never met another vehicle coming the other way. My favourite bits were sitting on the swing seat in the meadow and just watching the world go by. Definitely a place for peace and quiet. Have already booked again for next year.

Caravanning Heaven.

Well our 1st time at Poole farm CL and how can only 5*s be enough for this wonderful site 10*s might be enough, Louise & Greg are fantastic hosts with there son Harry. Louise is a great chef with Sunday roast delivered to your door by Greg is outstanding, not just Sundays though a wide choice of meals throughout the week. Full English or Croissants for breakfast, could you wish for more? I've been caravanning for 48 years and never come across a site as good as this is, in GB or abroad. Already booked to come back next year & can't wait to return. Leave your pots & pans at home & enjoy this wonderful site. Well done to you, Surely CL of the Decade.
