What a great site

From the first contact with Paul to book from leaving a first-class experience. The site is fantastic, and the pitches are huge. Walks from the site are excellent, with plenty of countryside around. Dog walking heaven. A pub that is very dog friendly and has wonderful food 2 minutes up the road. We will definitely be back. Thanks Paul

Family Weekend at The Courts Campsite

We stayed here with family for 2 nights to start our holiday season. We only live 30 minutes down the road but this site is so lovely we could have been anywhere in the country. We received a very warm welcome and the owners couldn't have been more helpful and knowledgeable. Extremely well maintained CL site, I would go as far to say the best one we have ever been to. We went for a lovely walk to Paper Mill Lock Tea Rooms for lunch and had a nice walk back to the site. All pitches being fully serviced is wonderful. We will definitely be going back.

New jewel

This has to be the best CL in Essex, and we have experienced some really decent sites. Created by obviously-intrepid motorhomers, the owners have worked out what we all seek and set out to deliver to just that. The result is a beautifully tranquil environment with the most enormous pitches you could hope for. Level, well they should be as they are on the old hard tennis courts, they are fully serviced to a high standard and offer both sunlight and shade. The location is excellent with four pubs in reasonable walking distance and several attractions nearby including the exquisite Paper Mill Lock. Lovely in every way.

Lovely peaceful site

First time we have visited this site and definitely won’t be the the last…was very relaxing, peaceful and quiet So many walks we are yet to do there and explore.. We walked to the tearooms when we were there.. although very muddy the walk across the fields was very slippery and you could visibly see where people had slipped over We were lucky and didn’t! We had had a lot of rain when we visited in March.. The pitches are well laid out, well kept and hard standing so will be available all year..so glad to have found it as a lovely quick little get away for us..

A gem in Little Baddow that we’d visit again

First impressions on arrival (make sure you follow Paul’s instructions as the roads are narrow) were of a really well laid out and set up site. Pitches are spacious and set up with water/waste water/power on each one. It’s clear that the site has been designed by someone who uses CLs and knows what they would like to stay at, and speaking to Paul this is the case. Although clearly a quite new site, the surrounding/dividing hedging hasn’t yet reached the optimum height that Paul wants to achieve but that won’t take long. He also has plans for wild flowers and other “beautification” and this will only make it an even more pleasant environment. A short walk away is Olio on the ridge at The Generals Arms which we visited late on Sunday for a libation and ended up having a pizza and pudding, both very good indeed. The staff were really helpful and friendly and if you’ve a dog it’ll be very welcome as well. For those who are in to Gardens “Hyde Hall” is 20 Mins away and Beth Chattos garden about 35 mins both worth a visit. Overall we had a lovely few days and would not hesitate to return.

Excellent location

First visit to this site but will be back as so much more to explore in the area. Very peaceful site in good location for visiting the local area with plenty of walks directly from the site. Very helpful and friendly owners who were on site when we stayed. Easy to find with good sized pitches, all hard standing and fully serviced including a rack for bikes on each pitch.

Second stay here. Very friendly host. Immaculate and peaceful site, with clean, fully-serviced pitches. Thoroughly recommend this site. Nice pub a few minutes’ walk away. Lovely woodland walks right next to site down the lane.

Second visit to this lovely site

A tranquil site, with everything you could want. Paul was very responsive, and checked that we were all OK. Good wifi connection, and all facilities were clean and easily accessible. Will be back again, if only to hear the owls talking to each other at night!
