Just Perfect

We stayed at the Garden House on the May Bank Holiday weekend. The site it set at the back of a beautiful house with a stunning garden. The pitches are flat and level with plenty of space, everything is so well kept, the owners have spent a lot of time developing the area, I can't fault it. Close by is Alton water and you can access the circular foot path from the campsite, its a long walk around the outside but we'll worth it. The owners are very happy to advise on other local walks, and we were directed to a nearby woodland walk packed full of blue bells, it was stunning. We are new to Caravaning and have so far visited 10 CL sites, and this is the best so far, I can't fault it, and would highly recommend a visit

Just spent 4 nights at Garden House . Everything about it is nice . Very well kept lovely flower borders , information hut with everything you need to know about the area . Books , DVD to borrow also homemade jam for sale ( which was delicious) . Welcomed by the owners who were very pleasant. We would highly recommend Garden House .

Wonderful Site.

This site is superb and is probably the best one we have been on. It was easy to find and the welcome was very warm. It is flat and well manicured with plenty of room between plots. There is a good sized secure area for dog walking, a poo bin being provided, and a separate area of approx 1/2 acre, which is in development, where new trees are growing and areas are left wilder around wild flowers. It isn't secure but is a wonderful area to just wander around with your dogs. The weather wasn't the best whilst we were there. We had 2 days of strong winds which caused worries regarding the awning. The soil there is very soft and sandy so pegs go in easily, but also, under strong winds, they can pull out just as easily. Martin was very concerned for us and offered every help, as did another guest who had a set of storm straps and lent them to us. Lesson was learned and a set has now been purchased. I won't leave home without them again. This is a truly wonderful site. It is new, so is clean and fresh, and there is every indication that Martin and Mandy will keep it so. There is a shed on site, full of booklets etc providing so much local information, to back up the local knowledge from Martin and Mandy. Alton Water is a 10min walk away and it is well worth the effort to walk around. Flatford Mill and Dedham are a short drive away. We didn't do half the things we wanted to do, so we will be back. The one down side, if you really want to be picky, is that there is a railway line approx 1/4 mile away. There is some rail traffic noise, but if that bothers you, all I would say is "get a life". Immaculate, very welcoming, definately one of the best

Just had a long Easter break here, and were amazed at how tidy it all was. Grass cut, wonderful flower beds. The information hut had everything you could possibly ask for, including home made jams! Outside there was also a display of plants for sale that were wonderful value. Dog walk was amazing although we couldn't take advantage as our dog was too old to enjoy it. All facilities carefully thought out by club member and kept immaculate. Local interest by the shed load, lakes, rivers, pubs, and more. First time we had been welcomed so nicely and as it was Easter we got some fabulous cup cakes too! Could never ask for more. No overhanging trees so always sunny will definitely return when we can, tidiest and friendliest one we have been to. Also easy to find. Thanks so much to Mandy and Martin for making us so welcome.

Most immaculate CL site we’ve stayed at

Mandy and Martin made us very welcome. We had a lovely Easter stay. Mandy even turned up with Easter homemade buns! How lovely was that! The site is immaculate and everything you need is thought of. We would highly recommend this site, and will be going again. The only downside is you occasionally hear the traffic, but when you appreciate how well laid out the cl site, and how welcome you and your dogs are…it’s a minor thing. Go book and enjoy.

The owners Martin & Mandy have created a beautiful site.Amenities superb, they as a couple are so passionate about making everything anyone could want available. Especially liked 'Mandys Plants' ,all proceeds going to charity and the information shed full of local pubs, places of interest ,books ,costs all done out with bunting and Easter chick's.❤. Dog friendly with there own enclosure, so your pet can run around to there hearts content. Will definitely be visiting again. Thanks again Martin & Mandy.

Last minute get away

Martin and Mandy are very welcoming in their new venture and we are sure they are going to be busy once people hear about the site which we can highly recommend. The CL is set in a lovely Meadow surrounded by farms and fields and is very tidy, spacious and clean. Pitches are all level and a great place to chill out and watch the wildlife. Its the perfect location for exploring Alton Waters as its close enough to either walk or cycle to and also for visiting the surrounding areas of Suffolk or Norfolk. You have also got The Suffolk Food Hall just up the road or Jimmy's Farm which are both definitely worth a visit while here. We look forward to returning again next year.

Perfect weekend away

Spending a lovely long weekend here at Garden House. Newly opened site, we are only the fourth unit to stay here. What a gem, Alton Water is on the doorstep, a drive to the estuary and beautiful walks only 10 minutes. Southwold just under an hour away but you don’t need to venture that far. Excellent dog exercise area, the meadow is a very peaceful place to have a sit and listen to the birds. Martin and Mandy are very welcoming and approachable. It will be very popular especially when the electric is all set up. We’ve already booked a return stay for next year!!
