Such a shame

We stopped here just to try whilst heading to Denham. Location and size is lovely. Beautiful setting with some lovely pitches however that’s where the good points stop. There were people from the travelling community here and it turned our trip into a chore. Kids running rampant smashing up toys or anything they could get hold of on the roads. Driving around at Mach 3 in their vehicles. Swearing and shouting into the early hours. Due to drainage issues 50% of the toilets and shower facilities were closed off. This could be a lovely site but a few things need to be sorted.

Comment from the Club

As an inclusive organisation, and bearing in mind the law on these matters, the Club do not discriminate against any particular individuals or groups and membership is open to all. With the size of membership that we enjoy, which helps fund the facilities everyone benefits from, diversity across our membership is inevitable. Any unwelcome behaviour from members or guests is always handled appropriately and where necessary, suitable follow up action is taken so please do report anything you see to the site staff.

Great site

What a super site. Quiet and peaceful in countryside amongst the trees yet superbly placed for our visits to Greenwich, kew Gardens and family in Surrey. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the facilities immaculate. We stayed from 5th to 9th June 2022 and would happily recommend to anyone sear hing in that area.

Great site

We stopped here for one night on our way home from France as it is near to M25. Made most welcome by the friendly wardens. Site is well maintained and facilities spotless. Good dog walking in woods just outside entrance and liked the dog shower area provided. Access on local roads is a bit congested and busy especially at school drop off times. However, the site itself is so quiet and peaceful you would never know you were so close to London.

Real countryside

A spacious site with loads of open space and peace and quiet. A real rural atmosphere. Lovely walks in the woods. I loved it.

Overnight stop off

We used this site as a stop off on our way to the channel tunnel. It is a big site and the pitches are nicely spaced out. The site is very well maintained, given the number of staff for such a big site they have done really well but I would guess they never get a break. That said they were all very cheerful and friendly. The facilities were spotless and the showers were hot and powerful. Anyone with children will find they are very well catered for. We spotted the outdoor chess board and the adventure playground. There is also ample room for kids to run and play. There is a very friendly ginger 🐈 that paid us a visit. The walk into Coulsdon is very pleasant and we had a good meal at The Fox in Netherne-on-the-Hill, I would use this site again

First visit to this site

Good morning we visited this site on our way back from France. we asked for a disabled plot for my wife. when we arrived at the plot. all of the marker pegs where on the floor looking like they had been run over. so I picked the marker pegs up and put them were they should be. while I was doing this I couldn't help noticing all around the pitch were cigarette butt's. then I went to the gents toilets. one toilet was back filling. Full of excrement. another toilet had been used full of excrement but not flushed. never seen this before at any club sites.

Best caravan site we have ever stayed at

Excellent site. Amazing to find such peace and quiet so near London. The spring flowers and nearby bluebells were amazing. 5 star shower facilities and the New Wardens went out of their way to make us feel welcome. This was the first time on a Caravan Club site and if they are all like this we will be a member for a very long time.

Thank you

I would like to thank wardens Richard and Jaqueline for going above and beyond to hep us. They found us a contact for a mobile repairer for our caravan. They were just so understanding. My son was late arriving and also was having trouble finding the site and Richard talked him through the directions while we watched him arrive late to the site. He was able to park on late arrivals and stay there until he got back from work the next day. Thank you

Great location and was so quiet

We used to live in this area (Caterham) ,and as we wanted to visit friends we stayed here , first time we have stayed at Alderstead Heath, was a bit apprehensive due to some reviews but thought as we were only using it as a "base" it would be fine. It is easy to get to (we came via M25, A22 and Caterham) , arrived late at 7.30pm due to hold up on M25 but were seen in quickly by the helpful warden , we had pitch 12 which was a lovely pitch with hard standing , the electric post didn't work , but the warden came straight out and resolved it by letting us plug in to a nearby one. . The site was not very full when we were there as it is a really big site , but this suited us , it was soooooo quiet , you wouldn't think you were only a couple of miles from the M25 ! The facilities were very clean and as the site was empty so were the toilet blocks with no trouble getting showers etc . We took our Smart car so visiting close by towns was not a problem and had a few trips to Caterham and Croydon visiting friends . The barrier is closed between 11pm and 7am which is not a problem just leave the car in the car park at the entrance , this also stops early morning and late night vehicles waking you up . The site was great and we will definitely visit again , I would expect it could be different if full ? But for our visit in October it was perfect. Kept clean by the busy wardens who were constantly tending the grounds and cleaning the facilities whilst we were there

Lovely site - great walks - helpful wardens

Been here a few times. Facilities all clean and in good working order. Layout of site is good. Although a big site you can choose a pitch to be tucked away and enjoy the nature around you. Lovely sunsets and lots of great walks nearby - north downs way, happy valley. Wardens are all friendly and helpful with good local knowledge. Handy to have a corner shop at village a short pleasant walk away. We will be back to our home away from home. Thank you to the team looking after us again and helping to make our stay pleasant.
