We stayed here w/e 20th May 2023. This is probably our favorite CAMC site. There's no point in saying how good it is, just read the other reviews. We did notice a few things which could be improved, but certainly did not spoil our time there:-
1. The cattle grid at the site entrance needs attention as it makes a loud bang every time a vehicle goes over it.
2. The light in the bollard immediately at the back of pitch 82 didn't work. We saw the warden examining it but it didn't work during the 3 nights we were there.
3. The road which contains pitch 82 needs some kind of "no through road" sign at it's entrance, as we saw a number of units drive down it, and having a big job at turning round. It would seem they were intending to go down the road immediately to the rear which isn't a dead end road.
4. On the Friday evening, a burger trailer attended the site, but the board advertising this was only put out during the day, (or possibly only when it arrived) so anyone leaving site in the morning would not be aware of the facility and perhaps make other arrangements. When we arrived on the Thursday, there were boards advertising Mondays and Wednesdays, I think, but definitely nothing for Fridays.
