Best of Suffolk

Kessingland Beach will be an island if the sea level rises and what a perfect place to be marooned. It's unique in that it is actually growing whie the coast around erodes. Split across 2 locations, beachside and inland there are distinct changes in character. The beach has the advantage of views to the sunrise over the sea - worth getting up for. We stop at World of Fish to get seafood on the way in and Morrisons for the duller provisions. We also leave the van on site and use the bus (Wash Lane) to Southwold and Lowestoft, or even Norwich. As usual the wardens are a beacon of hope for humanity, being happy to help and answer any questions as well as keeping the facilities and site clean and tidy. Lowestoft has a market and the walk along the beach up the coast to the most easterly point in Britain is worth it (especially for completists). If you want to walk down the coast to Southwold (more of a challenge) please be sure to check both tide and weather as Broadacre broad can breach to the sea making walking difficult. Overall, it's a wonderful site and ideally placed to explore into the broads and even to Yarmouth and Lynn.

Lovely arelaxing Break

My husband and our 2 dogs stayed here for 3 nights in June. On arrival we were greeted by 2 very friendly and happy to see us members of staff. They were very helpful and couldn't do enough to help. The site is very clean and well maintained. The facilities are also very clean and tidy. It is a 3 minute walk to the dog friendly (all year round) beach. And also a few minutes walk to the nearest pub. We loved our stay here and would definately visit this site again.

Friendly Wardens

As always, we were given a very friendly welcome to the site by Helen and Neil, who went out of their way to ensure we had everything we needed to make our stay as enjoyable as possible. They certainly are a credit to the Club. Despite "No Mow May", the site was still maintained to a very high standard, as were the shower blocks and motorhome service facilities. A very successful and enjoyable visit, with most of our time being spent down on the easy to access beach doing a spot of fishing. One of our favourite sites for fishing and we return a couple of times each year. The beach fish and chip shop near the site was excellent as always.

Lovely break in a lovely spot

We stayed at this site as our first time away in our caravan. The site was very welcoming and, despite being full, never felt crowded. The facilities were scrupulously clean at all times and the whole site was calm and quiet. We would go back tomorrow if time allowed! The beach was only a short hop across a site road and was a lovely place to walk (we even swam in the sea!). Local fish and chips were delicious and there are nearby shops in the village or for larger supermarkets (Morrisons and Aldi) in Pakefield - a short hop up the dual carriageway. If you are towing a very large caravan or driving a very large motorhome, be aware that the road through the village is quite a tight fit - pray you don't meet another ship in the night, you may struggle to pass! And on the subject of ships, at night you can watch the lights of the shipping as it ploughs up and down the north sea - make sure you put a ship finder App on your phone so that you can find out all about where they are going and what they are carrying!

Very nice site to visit ,we come hear a lot ,lots of places to go and see, plenty of eaterys too.the one I o,clock rule is a bit to strict, turning people away for being 10mins early ,the road to the site is a bit tight ,so turning some away to park at Morrison's ind est, and vans coming in, could cause an indecent, I know we recieve text not to arrive before 1 pm, but not always possible when travelling from far away.good site wardens very helpfull.would recomend a stay.

Lovely Stay

This is a site we have returned to from time to time. For us, it is somewhere to relax for a couple of days. The attractions of Kessingland are limited, though on a bright day the shingle beach is inviting for a good wander (and with the dog). The local pub (Sailor's Home) is a little drab, but the welcome is warm and the food is good and well-priced. We enjoyed some live music there too. The new Motorhome Service Point is impressive and the current Site Managers were working on tidying the grounds. Let's hope the toilet blocks benefit from a face-lift soon too. The Site Manager we met on arrival was very welcoming, which was a delight.

Seafront site

We stayed here in March in our camper, despite it being rather windy thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We went out walking locally with the dog every day using the maps we found in the Information room. Best site Information room I have come across with lots of information and copies of maps and timetables. We went to Lowestoft on the bus one day & walked along the front to Pakefield & then caught the bus back. The beach fish & chip shop near to the site was excellent, but the food in the local pub was average. The local shop in the Parkdean resort was handy for essentials as the Co-op is quite a walk away.

Fantastic Site

We stayed here twice at the end of the season in 2022 and loved this site. We stayed on the beach side of this site. We loved everything about this place. From the welcome to the location to the facilities. Felt completely refreshed after just a few days stay. There is only one thing we would change and that would be to have it open all year round! Thank you.

Fantastic few days, thank you...

Just finished three nights at the site, a first time visiting, and would definitely return. The block facilities on the main site are of an older type, but spotlessly clean, warm and everything working perfectly. We had made a request for a pitch near the facilities, due to medical reasons, and the wardens had everything ready for us. We would particularly like to thank Lynn and Paul for their friendliness and courtesy shown throughout our trip. The walks North and South of Kessingland Beach are lovely, and we enjoyed the peaceful nature of our out-of-season stay. Thanks very much, really nice stay, Nigel & Julie
