Well looked after site

Lovely site, about 33 miles from Cherbourg, we stayed here two nights 14/15th Sept 2016. Good pitches, shop, and beach. Friendly staff. Access is good for twin axles. Supermarket 5 miles away. Lots to see and do in the local area. We will def return again.

Excellent Site For north Normandy

Booked in for 9 nights mainly to see Tour de France. Pitches were excellent and of a good size enclosed by hedges. Toilet blocks were mixed in general but always very clean and well serviced. Shop well stocked and Pizza bar good. Was just 2 adults but could see facilities for families were great. Staff very friendly and always have time to chat. area around camp site flat and good for cycling. Wii return again, may be with Grandchildren. Would recommend

Nice site

This is a nice site, across the road is part of the historic Utah Beach, museums and places of interest are easily accessed by bike - the roads were quite quiet in early July. It may be wise to buy a detailed map as you can lose your way quiet easily in some of the back lanes. We had a huge pitch - you could probably have got 3 motorhomes on our pitch - a French family managed 2 caravans, 2 awnings, a large tent and a car on their smaller pitch! The facilities are to a high standard, kept clean and not crowded. The bar was good, shop better than average, pool very nice but a bit cramped - the beach is only across the road, but at low tide expect a long long walk to paddle. This is a really nice location, St Maire Egise is 7 miles away on a flat road, a really good museum as is the Utah Beach one - if you want history this a great location. It's a quiet site and a good location if you're travelling back from Caen, Cherbourg or St Malo. It is a shame that there is no restaurant, the pizzas are fine, but be ready for a cholesterol boost if you buy one!

Great site, location & facilities

What a great site, we stayed here at the beginning of July to watch the Tour de France at Utah Beach and surrounding area. The site was really well located, the toilets and showers were good, communal as usual for France but OK. The pitch next to us had its own washing facilities in a small cubicle , I think it was a premium pitch and I will definitely try to get one of these next time. We stayed during the Euro 2016 tournament and the manager (Frederick) was so accommodating in the bar each night making sure everyone had a seat. The small shop was good and the cafe sold just pizzas but they were tasty too! Will definitely visit again

Normandy 2016,enjoyed.

Really enjoyed ... Site had lots of facilities a bit like a hotel. I.e. 3 pools, horse riding, small animals, on site bar / cafe, billiard golf, table tennis, boule & a large play area suitable for age 5 - mid teans! Great location for ferries and WW2 historical beaches museums etc, dogs welcome, with tethering posts by shop reception etc. Only criticisms are booking seems to allocate on a numerical basis so if pitch 1 is empty that keeps being re used - contact them for site plan & request your pitch. Ladies toilet facilities a bit iffy mainly because of amount of young adults using them I guess. Would go again.

Perfect location for D Day explorations

Here currently, departing 23rd July 2016. This is a large commercial site which is ideal for families. Aside from Swimming Pool, organised activities, Horse Riding there is even even a field of Goats! We stayed here as it's very close to Utah beach and all the other D Day beaches are no more than a hours drive. If your a Band of Brothers fan this is a must as Brecourt Manor and Dick Winters statue are only a few minutes away. We stayed on a Super Pitch which was huge and had its own toilet, sink and shower and washing up sink on the terrace outside. The site is aimed at families with younger children so don't expect peace and tranquility. However, if your a Historian, it's a great location for exploring D Day etc.

Well worth the visit

Stayed here for 3 weeks from 19th May - 14 th July. Lovely site with excellent facilities. We had a large pitch to accommodate our Fifth Wheel. Access was easy. Lovely quiet site during our stay. Fantastic for exploring D-day landing sites and for the week's celebrations around June 6th. Good cycling area & pleasant golf course nearby. Staff were fantastic, we contacted to say we would be arriving late after 9 pm & rather than parking on late arrivals as arranged we were met and shown straight to our pitch. All staff were very friendly & helpful during our 3 week stay.

Peace in the Normandy countryside

We stayed for a week while the Tour de France was in the area. It was in term time so not many children were around. It was very peaceful and at night all went quiet at least by 10pm. The site is next to Utah beach with miles and miles of sand. Also lovely villages and the port of  Ste Vast de la Hougue which was picturesque. Saw storks in the area. We took our dog with us and she loved the beach walks. We used the vet in Ste Mere Eglise for the pet passport. Shop on site sold bread and basics.  Only disadvantage was that there were no local shops we could walk to although some mobile vans selling cheese for example, set up shop outside the campsite.

July 2016

Great site very welcoming large pitches with BBQs to use and right on the beach very family friendly but also secluded enough for the couples - comes to life like many French sites in July and August so go earlier/later!

Le Cormoran Normandy

Very nice site, close to Utah Beach and Museums etc. Also close enough to visit other Museums and St Mere Eglise which is well worth a visit if you are interested in the history of WW 2. The pitch we had was very private and quiet. The toilet block was kept clean and provided all the facilities you would want. Access to the site and all the pitches is easy. Staff were very helpful and really couldn't do enough to help. We will definetly be back next year for longer stay.
