Published: 29 July 2010

Leicestershire has plenty to offer people of all ages this summer, according to the region's tourist board.

Caravanners looking for ideas for great days out in the region will enjoy the new guide from Leicester Shire Promotions as it has over 40 of them.

Top of the list of attractions in the region is the National Space Centre in Leicester, which houses 250 exhibits and space simulation, as well as the forthcoming Space Race exhibition.

Alternatively, those with an interest in walking and outdoor pursuits will find exquisite scenery and natural trails in the National Forest.

Bosworth Battlefield Heritage Centre and Country Park will be offering a history lesson with a difference, as visitors are taken on a journey through medieval England, examining battle tactics with a re-enactment on August 21st and 22nd.

There are many sites for caravanners in the area ready to cater for visitors wanting to make the most of what Leicestershire has to offer.
