Caravan show promotes great days out in the Norfolk Broads

Published: 09 March 2010

British holidaymakers looking to get away to the countryside as Easter approaches could be tempted to head to the Norfolk Broads in their caravan.

The Broads Tourism Forum (BTF) and the Broads Authority were present at the recent Boat and Caravan Show at the Birmingham NEC, where thousands of visitors took interest in the region.

According to Eastern Daily Press, 2,000 brochures were handed out detailing the cycling, fishing and walking activities available in the area for those who arrive in their caravan this springtime.

Ian Russell, chairman of the BTF, said that the region is currently misunderstood: "What we have to do is reposition the Broads as a fantastic place to go boating but also for shore-side accommodation, walking, cycling, bird watching, boutique hotels and more."

Guernsey could also be the destination for caravan owners looking for a great day out as there is plenty going on over the coming months, with opera singer Katherine Jenkins announcing a two performances on the island.
