Kentwell Hall invites history buffs to re-creation

Published: 17 March 2010

Families may want to consider booking caravan sites in Long Melford, as a series of re-creations are to take place at Kentwell Hall this Easter.

The property, which is well known for its Tudor re-enactments, is opening its doors between April 2nd and 5th to showcase what life was like in times gone by.

People from all walks of life will be seen undergoing their daily lives, so visitors can truly experience what the Tudor times were like on their great day out.

Many parts of the property will be open to curious caravanners, including the great hall, brewhouse, kitchen and foundry.

Animal lovers will also not be disappointed, as rare breeds of pigs, cattle and donkeys will be on show at Kentwell.

The property has been in existence for around 500 years and for the past 35 has undergone a number of restoration projects to ensure it remains true to its original style.
