The German city of Cologne is a firm favourite with British travellers, including those on overseas caravan holidays.
This is according to Jelena Alenina, market management Europe at the Cologne Tourist Board, who said the UK has strong connections with the area.
"We have a famous cathedral in the city, museums and chocolate museums. The new science centre, Odysseum, opened in 2009," she explained.
One of the most popular times to head to the city is Christmas, Ms Alenina highlighted, mainly because it has a host of interesting markets for people to explore.
Each market has something different to offer and people will find there is plenty to keep them occupied, she added.
Cologne is also famous for hosting a carnival every year, which always starts at 11:11am on November 11th, with people filling the streets and local pubs for the celebration.
