A brisk walk is good for your health

People who take energetic walks can enjoy a range of health benefits.
Walking quickly, in a way that requires you to expend energy, can have a positive effect on your heart, lungs and blood pressure.
Although a gentle stroll will not bring the same exercise benefits, you do not have to exert yourself too much.
Maria Castellina, spokeswoman for British walking group the Ramblers, said: "You should be breathing a little faster, feeling a little warmer and feel your heart beating a little faster, but so you still feel comfortable and are able to talk."
Walking is also a great way to see some of Britain's most picturesque places.
Parks are a particularly attractive place to walk, as they are often safe from traffic and are family friendly.
Attingham Park in Shropshire is one of the prettiest places in England for an afternoon stroll.
The estate is particularly attractive at the moment, because during February the snowdrops blossom spectacularly.
Belton House in Lincolnshire is also a good option.
Stroll among the gardens as they shake off the last chills of winter and enjoy walks through its orangery and along the lakeside.
