London offers plenty of half-term attractions

Half-term is a great time to visit London.
Families can soak up the atmosphere as the city prepares for the Olympic Games, while enjoying some world-class exhibitions.
Art lovers can enjoy a rare look at the work of celebrated modern artist David Hockney.
His exhibition David Hockney: the Bigger Picture runs until the second week of April, and showcases his brilliantly colourful paintings of the Yorkshire landscape.
For older children, the National Army Museum is putting on a War Horse puppetry workshop, to explain the mechanisms behind the National Theatre's play.
It is sure to enthral those who have recently seen Steven Spielberg's blockbuster War Horse.
The London Aquarium will be offering behind-the-scenes tours, giving children and adults a chance to see how aquarium workers conduct research and manage the animals.
Finally, the Imagine Children's Festival at the South Bank centre offers both ticketed and free events between 11 February and 26 February.
It will feature performances from the Carnival of the Animals and the National Youth Theatre.
