Caravanners who love the British countryside are right to be proud of it, judging by the results of a recent expat survey.
In a study commissioned by Lloyds TSB International, it was found that the British countryside is the thing that Brits living abroad miss the most about home.
A spokesman for Lloyds said: "It speaks glowingly of our countryside that expats around the world miss it so much."
Nearly half of the 1,043 expats surveyed (46 per cent) cited the countryside as the thing they longed for the most, followed by the British sense of humour (42 per cent) and British pubs (41 per cent).
Interestingly, expats living overseas did vary in what they missed about Britain depending on which country they had located to.
Britons in the United Arab Emirates had the biggest longing for the countryside.
Australia's Brits missed the pub scene back home the most.
For those living in Britain, caravanning is one of the best ways to enjoy the countryside, because it offers an affordable and flexible way to explore the nation's rural areas.
