VisitBritain: Invite friends and relatives to take holidays in the UK

People throughout the country are being encouraged to invite
friends and family from overseas to enjoy holidays in the UK, as
part of a new VisitBritain campaign.
The organisation is running its marketing drive under the slogan
Share Your GREAT Britain, which includes a number of interactive
tools that may inspire people to travel to these shores.
Among them is the 10 GREAT Reasons app on VisitBritain's LoveUK
Facebook page, as well as a personalised postcard that can be
downloaded and set to potential visitors.
Chief executive of VisitBritain Sandie Dawe commented: "2012 is
the year to be in Britain - with a raft of new festivals,
exhibitions and events marking the Diamond Jubilee, celebrations of
Shakespeare and Dickens and the hosting of the Olympic
Games."
Figures from the group show that as many as one in four trips to
the UK last year were made by visiting friends and relatives.
