Wet weather needn't put a dampener on UK holidays

One of the benefits of a caravanning holiday in the UK is that
there is always something to do, regardless of what the weather
might have in store.
Laura Smith, destination public relations manager at VisitEngland,
suggested that Brits are very practical when it comes to the
weather and are always prepared for the worst.
She explained: "From museums and galleries, to aquariums, there is
a whole range of things to do to suit all ages and
personalities.
"If rain has stopped a zoo visit, you could consider an aquarium
or natural history museum."
One of the best activities to enjoy in the UK is a brisk walk
along the beach, followed by a well-deserved lunch by the fire in a
country pub, Ms Smith emphasised.
Despite its reputation for less-than-favourable weather, figures
from the Met Office show that 2011 was the second-warmest year on
record in the UK.
