News Team - meet our writers

Adfero News Correspondent: Emma Furze

Since graduating from the University of Cambridge with a degree in Theology and Religious Studies, Emma has worked in the DirectNews division of online news agency Adfero. Prior to this, she had been involved in a range of media-related jobs, including working on ITV show Dickinson's Real Deal and being involved in press relations with the Cambridge University Atheist and Agnostic Society.

In her spare time, she builds upon her love for both music and travel by writing freelance articles on the subjects.

Club Magazine Editor: Gary Martin

Gary has edited the Club Magazine since July 2006. With over 20 years of journalistic experience, he started out as a naïve member of the Fast Car and Your Car teams, before beginning an 11-year association with Motor Caravan Magazine, a title he edited for 3 1/2 years. Sports titles - Golf Monthly, Women & Golf and Shoot Monthly (including editing a World Cup 2002 Special) - took up his time for six years from 2000.

Club Magazine Deputy Editor: John Thynne

Although relatively new to the world of caravanning and motor caravanning, John has been a journalist for more than 15 years, undertaking various production roles.

Club Magazine Assistant Editor: Clive White

Clive has worked on a variety of motoring magazines in editorial, and some freelance, positions since 1989. He has been Assistant Editor of The Caravan Club Magazine since 1991 - with a year's break in 1997 when, as its Deputy Editor, he co-founded 'Classics', a very popular classic-car magazine.

As well as the Club Magazine's editorial duties, Clive specialises in towcar testing, motoring articles and product reviews.

Club Magazine Editorial Production Assistant: Kirsty Brown

Kirsty has been Editorial Production Assistant on The Caravan Club Magazine for four years. It is her first staff role as a journalist, although she has a background in freelance news, feature and theatre review writing.

Kirsty's particular responsibility is for the Centre events sections of the Magazine and for a women's lifestyle page covering fashion, beauty, theatre, music and books.
