Why stay here ...

Westcroft Caravan Park is located in the beautiful countryside of Gloucestershire within a few miles of the Worcestershire border. With stunning views overlooking the Malvern Hills, Bredon Hill and the Cotswolds it has easy access, within one mile, to the M5/M50 motorway network. We are registered with the Caravan And Motorhome Club and has spaces for five caravans with electric hook-ups, with water and sewerage. We are a local family run business and are on site always to cater for any of your needs.

Westcroft Caravans is also situated next to Hillview Lakes which has 2 lakes and 4 long canals, well stocked with coarse fish, with day fishing from £9 a day. Hillview Lakes is one of the top coarse fishing venues in the country and attracts top match international anglers regularly. Hillview Lakes has its own fishing tackle shop that is open 7 days a week and is run by an onsite fishing specialist who offers advice on how to fish the venue. Hillview Lakes also has its own fully licensed bar.

Our CL is situated on the edge of the village of Twyning in North Gloucestershire, close to the River Avon and only a few miles from the River Severn. It offers plenty of beautiful countryside for long walks for those who are looking for a relaxing holiday. The village has a local shop with a good range of groceries and is open 7 days a week from 7am. Twyning has 3 pubs within a mile.

Four miles south on the A38 from Westcroft Caravans you have the historic town of Tewkesbury with its distinctive landmark abbey. Tewkesbury has a large Morrisons with cafe and petrol station and an Aldi. There are plenty of local shops for other needs along with ample parking and plenty of restaurants.

Four miles north of Westcroft Caravans you also have the local picturesque town of Upton Upon Severn, again with plenty of local shops and restaurants and ample parking. During the year there are many local events on in the local towns of Upton Upon Severn and Tewkesbury such as river festivals, jazz festivals and numerous other music festivals for all tastes.

our stay 20/23 April 2024

Westcroft
Very easy access from M5 . only a small site but ok for a few nights , Owner nice Chap very friendly and helpful site Level , , its got everything you need from a small CL , The toilet is basic but at these prices you are not going to get a shower block, Tewkesbury 3 or so miles plenty, to see and do there, the village a 20 min walk is picture perfect , Pub on the River a little expensive but very nice , We will return next time we are heading south , Great value site ..

Adequate

Westcroft
The site has everything needed. Water, loo emptying facility, EHU. Easy turning and pitching. Tidy site, nicely mown. Gate a bit awkward to open from inside but easy from outside. Was told I couldn't walk around the lakes with my dog because the owner's dog might attack. The reason I chose this site was because it was advertised from £15pn...was actually £20. I wish ccmh site could keep up with pitch fees Not sure I'd return. Plenty of others in the area.

Great little site

Westcroft
This is a lovely little site with just a toilet. If you like fishing there is a good fisheries next door with a on site bar (tho it wasn't open when we stayed here) .we struggled to get a taxi into Tewkesbury but another camper gave a number for Avon Taxis(£9:50) one way We walked into the village Twyning which took 20mins There are two pubs ( The village Inn & The Fleet inn) There is also a small well stocked spar but we drove into Tewkesbury to use Morrisons to fuel up . Tewkesbury itself is a beautiful town the Abbey a must visit loads of local shops and pubs .we didn't see much of the site owners but that didn't bother us all the other campers were friendly would definitely use this site again

Golfing at Puckrup Hall

Westcroft
We selected this site based on location. The CL was perfect for our needs as we were able to wheel our golf trollies to Puckrup Hall Golf resort safely. The weather wasn't great but it stayed dry enough to take a walk to the village of Twyning (about 15mins) and then on to the river. Steve greeted us with a friendly welcome and information about the area. He'd already been very helpful prior to confirming our booking by answering questions about the walk over to the golf course etc. We didn't make any use of the fishing lakes but understand they're recommended. We plan to book another trip here next year

Its just ok.

Westcroft
Easy access from the motorway we arrived not knowing where we had to go. Another member gave us the run down so we found our spot. Site is ok, toilet block is functionable. Water is at one end of site on a home made pallet, it's was not secure, making it unstable to walk on. It is quite noisy, with lots loud exhausted cars and bikes up and down the road during quite hours. Lots of footpaths near by to access. Terrible wifi 4g and telephone signal. It's a functional site nothing special and lacking TLC but easy for access to the surrounding area.
