Wedding Stay

Arrived on 16th of May , booked in for four nights for a family wedding at Puckrup Hotel Small site with a friendly owner only a short distance from the M50 and M5. No traffic noise from the motorway traffic thankfully. Enjoyed our stay here so much we extended our visit to seven nights and also made use of the first class fishery next to the campsite. Would we stay again?, most definitely. Derek & Debbie Stacey

our stay 20/23 April 2024

Very easy access from M5 . only a small site but ok for a few nights , Owner nice Chap very friendly and helpful site Level , , its got everything you need from a small CL , The toilet is basic but at these prices you are not going to get a shower block, Tewkesbury 3 or so miles plenty, to see and do there, the village a 20 min walk is picture perfect , Pub on the River a little expensive but very nice , We will return next time we are heading south , Great value site ..

Adequate

The site has everything needed. Water, loo emptying facility, EHU. Easy turning and pitching. Tidy site, nicely mown. Gate a bit awkward to open from inside but easy from outside. Was told I couldn't walk around the lakes with my dog because the owner's dog might attack. The reason I chose this site was because it was advertised from £15pn...was actually £20. I wish ccmh site could keep up with pitch fees Not sure I'd return. Plenty of others in the area.

Great little site

This is a lovely little site with just a toilet. If you like fishing there is a good fisheries next door with a on site bar (tho it wasn't open when we stayed here) .we struggled to get a taxi into Tewkesbury but another camper gave a number for Avon Taxis(£9:50) one way We walked into the village Twyning which took 20mins There are two pubs ( The village Inn & The Fleet inn) There is also a small well stocked spar but we drove into Tewkesbury to use Morrisons to fuel up . Tewkesbury itself is a beautiful town the Abbey a must visit loads of local shops and pubs .we didn't see much of the site owners but that didn't bother us all the other campers were friendly would definitely use this site again

Golfing at Puckrup Hall

We selected this site based on location. The CL was perfect for our needs as we were able to wheel our golf trollies to Puckrup Hall Golf resort safely. The weather wasn't great but it stayed dry enough to take a walk to the village of Twyning (about 15mins) and then on to the river. Steve greeted us with a friendly welcome and information about the area. He'd already been very helpful prior to confirming our booking by answering questions about the walk over to the golf course etc. We didn't make any use of the fishing lakes but understand they're recommended. We plan to book another trip here next year

Its just ok.

Easy access from the motorway we arrived not knowing where we had to go. Another member gave us the run down so we found our spot. Site is ok, toilet block is functionable. Water is at one end of site on a home made pallet, it's was not secure, making it unstable to walk on. It is quite noisy, with lots loud exhausted cars and bikes up and down the road during quite hours. Lots of footpaths near by to access. Terrible wifi 4g and telephone signal. It's a functional site nothing special and lacking TLC but easy for access to the surrounding area.

Lovely little spot 😊

We visited this site for 2 nights, we had a lovely welcome from Steve who was extremely helpful with places to visit etc. The walk to the pub is a good 30 minute walk, but well worth it, as you can go right down by the water and enjoy a pint! You can walk along the river bank to Tewskbury, which is lovely,we saw lots of baby ducks, geese and goslings. It is a long walk but flat and easy walking. We certainly didn't have any problems with the gate?! There is a toilet also if you wanted to use it, yes it is a wooden shed, but it is immaculate! I have seen far worse! We didn't explore by the lakes as we have a dog. Lovely spot for a stop over as we did on our way back down the country from up North! 😀😀

Great site

This is a great little site. Steve the owner is very weloming and helpful. The site is a couple of miles from the m5 and ideal for anyone wishing to break a journey. We stayed for 3 nights on a weekend break as we wanted to explore the area. The site takes 5 units and is ample big enough for this number. There is a very clean toilet on site. The wooden access gate is very easily opened and contrary to previous comments. The village of Twyning with 2 nice pubs (one directly on the river Avon are worth visiting and easy to walk to. We visited Pershore, Worcester, Upton, Malvern, Tewksbury and Ross on Wye whilst here which were all easily to get to and short drives away. If you are looking for a stopover when breaking a journey or looking to explore the area then I highly recommend this site.

Helpful friendly owners.

Stayed here in February for 3 nights. Helpful, friendly owners. Very easy location, just off the M50. Easy walking along the road or rivers (Severn or Avon) into Tewkesbury. Both pubs in the village great. Happy to recommend.

Lovely short break

Just stayed at Westcroft for 4 nights. Lovely CL electric and toilet. Good spot with nice walks to Tewkesbury and the Cotswold's. Unlike many of the CLS we have been looking at the owner of this site is not greedy reasonable rates. The gentleman also helped us get back on the road after we suffered a flat battery. I highly recommend this CL. In the words of Arnold Schwarzenegger We will be back.
