Beautiful, Peaceful CL

There’s no need to extol the virtues of this CL as it’s all been said in previous reviews. Just had ten days at this beautiful CL welcomed by Brian & Alison. Ideally situated to explore the lovely county of Shropshire. Would definitely recommend and hope to return sometime in the future. Thank you Brian & Alison 😊

Perfect!!!

We have just had the pleasure of spending 4 nights at this wonderful little site. Large, fully serviced, hard standing pitches, each with its own manicured lawn. Some of the pitches do have sloping ground but fear not, the hosts, Alison and Brian are really helpful. Our hook up lead wasn’t quite long enough but we were able to borrow one from them. They also provide grey waste pipes and each pitch has its own rubbish and recycling bins. Lots of really helpful info on the information board. We even bought some of the home grown vegetables. The cost of our stay averaged out at £21.50, ridiculously cheap for a fully serviced pitch. It’s plain to see that the site is the owners pride and joy. We will definitely stay again in the future

Fabulous site

Just returned from 3 nights at Firs Cottage: we had booked for 2 but needed no persuasion when told we could stay an extra night. As others have said, this site is a gem: peaceful, beautifully maintained, the most helpful owners we have ever encountered, and all within a gorgeous part of the world. We are already looking to return in October.

It’s the finer details that make it a wonderful site

Over the last few years we’ve stayed a quite a selection of CL’s, some good, some not so good and also some excellent ones. Firs Cottage CL comes into the latter bracket. It’s just the extra little touches and organisation on the site that makes it stand out. As others have said, the pitches are fully serviced but also have their own waste bins. The site is so well laid out so the caravans/motorhomes don’t overlook each other. The grassed areas are the greenest I’ve ever seen!! The flower beds and bushes are lovely. There are a couple of rustic seating areas on the grassed areas which have little vases of fresh flowers on the tables. There is a basket of salad/vegetable items for sale from out of Alyson & Brian’s garden. Electric is metered and paid for at the end of the stay. We were there for seven nights and our total usage cost just above £16. We will certainly return if we can manage to get a pitch. Thank you Alyson & Brian.

Relaxing break

Fantastic little site, beautifully laid out and kept. Stayed here the second time and not disappointed. Brian and Alison are very friendly and great hosts. There’s a lovely walk along track from site with a glorious view of Shropshire countryside. Wenlock Edge Inn a mile from site well worth visiting for a meal.

What a lovely site!

Just returned from a 4 day stay at this lovely site. We have been caravanning for over 40 years and this is one of the best CLs we have ever been to. We had a couple of problems when we arrived (of our own making!) and Brian was extremely helpful. The site is beautifully kept and they have thought of everything you could need on a pitch. We will definitely be returning as it is such a lovely area and so much more to explore

Absolutely lovely site

We have just returned from Firs Cottage staying 7 days. What a lovely site and Brian and Alison were delightful and so helpful. The site is kept beautifully and we both felt so comfortable. The facilities included water, electricity (meter). Apart from the weather (rained most days) we still managed to visit many stunning places. A huge thank you for making us so welcome. Will certainly be returning.

Another gem

Stayed here 3 nights from the 17 of July and what an exceptional site, large pitches with water hook up and grey waste pipes supplied for drainage to the hedge bottom.Brian and Alison very friendly and helpful.I damaged my caravan and had to cut short by a night and again our hosts couldn’t do enough I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again if I was to visit Shropshire.

Return visit

We have just returned from a week at Firs Cottage. Our first visit since the pandemic and this CL is still as perfect as ever. The owners Alison and Brian are so welcoming. We always say it’s like staying on someone’s front lawn! Water, waste, and recycling on each pitch as well. Lots to see and do in the surrounding area just wish the weather had been a bit kinder. We’ll be back!!!
