Superb find

We have just spent 4 nights at Lashlake Barn and were his first visitors of the season due to the very wet spring. I’m a bit reluctant to review the site as I don’t want too many people to know how good it is! It’s a great find in a very rural setting yet so close to Thame and all its lovely amenities. We spent a couple of days in Oxford which we accessed by bus. The service is excellent and the bus stop is just 2 minutes from the site. We plan to return!

Lovely Site

As others before have said, this is a lovely well kept site and the owner John very friendly. Our first time on a cl and our first visit to Thame, I have a feeling we will be back.

A really lovely cl

We have just had our first visit to Lashlake Barn and really loved it. A warm welcome from John with lots of useful information. Beautifully kept and the river running at the bottom of the site. Loved the chickens mooching about. A lovely easy walk into town, we did the town trail, the museum and visited Robin Gibbs grave. Bus stop nearby with buses to Oxford and Aylesbury but we ran out of time, We will definitely return.will definitely return. Thank you John.

Ideal site within short walk of Thame.

We recently spent four nights at this fantastic CL within an easy walk into Thame which still has a High Street, pubs and various other individual shops. A supermarket is within walking range and set back from the High Street, so not spoiling the appearance of the Main Street. The CL is secured behind electric gates and screened by mature trees, which cut the effect of a very windy day. A small river runs through the woodland at one end of the site. Thoroughly recommended and will be returning.

Een gastvrije camping.

Een vriendelijk ontvangst door een hulpvaardige gastheer. Een ruime beschutte plaats tussen het groen op loopafstand van het centrum van Thame.

7 night stay

What a great secure site. Electric gates operated by remote control. Within walking distance of a lovely town with numerous pubs, shops and cafes. Waitrose nearest supermarket a few hundred yards from the site. Warm welcome from John who showed us where everything was. Good size pitches with water and electric on every pitch. We enjoyed our 7 night stay and thoroughly recommend this site. We will definitely return at some time in the future. Thanks John.

Peaceful site

Very quiet location , lovely walks and cycling near by . The church is beautiful especially at night when it is lit up . The owner is really nice , let us move the motorhome on our day of departure and wonder into town to see the market . Nice pubs nearby . In an 8.5 mtrs Motorhome the access was easy and nice level pitches . Be aware the cl sign is set back from the road ,but follow details on line and you can find it . Secure site behind some electric gates .

2 Night Midweek Stay

We have just returned from a 2 night stay at this lovely CL We had a very friendly and efficient welcome from John who advised on local places to visit and things to do. The site is immaculately maintained with well cut grass. Each pitch has EHU, water and a picnic bench. There is a small river running alongside and you are able to fish during the open season. We enjoyed watching the wildlife come and go including a muntjac deer and 2 woodpeckers. We will definitely return

Amazing CL

We have just returned from 5 nights at Lashlake Barn, and what an amazing place it is. Admittedly the weather was perfect, which you can't book in advance, but everything about our stay was ideal, from the welcome from John and Allie to the facilities on each pitch. It's such a beautiful and peaceful setting, even when "full" as it's so well spaced out, yet has everything you need a few minutes' walk away in the pretty town of Thame. Having spent the previous two weeks on large, busy sites in Cornwall and the New Forest, this was the perfect end to our holiday. Hope we can return before too long. Ian and Sue.
