Peaceful site close to The home of Downtown Abbey
We stayed here to visit Highclere Castle and weren’t disappointed. This is a very well kept, peaceful site with a fab little toilet hut. It is a 20 minute walk across the fields to the local pub that serves great food and is dog friendly.
Lots of great footpaths locally for dog walking. We loved watching the Red Kites circling above, such beautiful birds, definitely wish we’d taken a decent camera with us.
Aswell as Highclere Castle we also visited Boughton Lodge Gardens, we thoroughly enjoyed both.
