This is a great site. We like to travel around in our motorhome so rarely stay anywhere for many nights but spent 3 nights here as fancied a chill and this was definitely the right site. The staff are so friendly and you get to chose what is left from your category of booking and report back your pitch number to reception when you have had a look around. Little areas in among the trees so feels quite separated .We bought a ferry ticket for the day from reception as cheaper than on the boat and started walking through the stunning woods & then hopped on & off the ferry ( there are about 6 stops) around the lake, such fun. The second day we walked to the Lingholm Estate which took about an hour, for lunch and madly on the way back decided to walk part way up Catbells, it not a massively hard at the beginning and the view was stunning. So, so much to do straight from the site if you love nature. We hope to return if in the area again
