My wife and I stayed here for 4 nights, Saturday to Wednesday.
I recommend following the sites direction instructions as the lanes around here are narrow. We have a Go-Pod which is 6' wide but if you've got a large caravan there aren't many passing places.
Upon arrival we had a nice welcome and chose to camp in the wooded area. We were given a map showing all of the available free pitches and were pleasantly surprised to get a nice hedged in pitch.
Plenty to do in the area with the coast and the Southdowns nearby. We shopped in Uckfield for food which was a short car ride away, although I did it on my bike which was a nice ride.
There's a 6 mile circular walk that is direct from site taking in Chiddingly and E. Hoathly with pubs in both villages for refreshment.
My wife would have liked a toilet block but I didn't mind.
Would I stay again. You bet.
Staying at Broomfield farm club site
The site is set in a quiet location. But the down side of this is there is a single narrow road witch you have to take to get to the site . The passing place's are very poor and need attention. As for the site. The staff are very friendly and help full but the site is in need of repair. The tarmac road on site is in poor state and in need of repair. Also when it rains the water floods some area's in the woods . This need to have better drainage . In a nut shell Broomfield farm club site needs to have a major overhaul
Peaceful stay
Pleasant 2 night stay. We liked this site as much less formal than some club sites as it has no toilet/ shower block. Had choice of pitches in either very wooded area or more open grass pitch. The open field without shade had no vacancies. We chose the area furthest from reception and felt we’d made the best choice as part shade and large open space in the middle. Easy access to Vanguard Way from the site (gates at corner of first field) although had to find this as not marked on site map).
Not much for children to do but there is a boules pitch.
First weekend in the new motorhome
We've never had a motorhome, we've had trailer tents and small campers but never a motorhome so this was our first time on a proper site and what a great experience it was too.
Be aware that all roads that lead here are single track with some areas where passing is possible but these are muddy if it's wet. Make sure you copy the directions from the website here for the best approach!
The site warden was really friendly and informative, the on site facilities ie water and waste etc were clean and easy to use as was the electric hook up and everything was clean, tidy and inspired confidence. Lots of space and lots of peace and quiet! £28 for all that for 2 adults and 2 dogs I feel is a good price and one I was willing to pay.
Eastbourne, Hastings etc are all within 30 minutes.
First Timers
It was our first trip away in our new caravan, the site warden was lovely and really helpful - He even helped us move the caravan into position and helped us when we left. Excellent customer service - a friendly place with lots of peace and quiet. A little tricky to get to with single track access, with a few passing places. Eastbourne, Battle and Hastings only under 30 mins away.
Escape to the peace
A little gem , hidden away .
If you want peace and quiet this is ideal the noise you will hear is birdsongs and the occasional tractor, even had a pony and trap go pass.
Lots of bird boxes around many made by Jon and they have been used for nesting this year.
Jon and Sue take a pride in the Site always a good morning with a smile.
There is no toilet/shower block so your van must have , lots of walking with the South Downs close and the village has a pub and shop . Supermarkets a short drive , Tesco , Waitrose , Morrison’s to choose from .
There are two pitching areas , an open meadow when you enter or if you prefer a wooded area , where you will see more bird life and it is shaded on a hot day as the open meadow is in sun .
Handy for visiting the seaside, Eastbourne, Brighton are a short drive away. National Trust property’s are close and the Steam Railway.
The approach lane is narrow, take it careful and arrive after 12 you shouldn’t have a problem .
In July 24/25th there is a boules tournament and a raffle.
Also caravan items pre loved to raise funds for Macmillan.

Ist timers
We spent our 1st evening with our brand-new touring caravan last night. It was exactly as described, a lovely 'gentile' site. We stayed in the wooded area and could not have asked for anything better for our first ever trip out. We drove out to Lewes in the afternoon (after the rain had finally stopped) for vegan coffee and cake. Really lovely little adventure. It was only 16 miles from our home, but it felt like a holiday. I didn’t mind that there were no shower blocks. The woman who greeted us reception was very nice and welcoming. The road access to the site is not as bad as it was described. Again, all good for our 1st adventure out. Shame we could not stay another night.
Peaceful site
We stayed for three nights early May (21) and found the site to be quiet, well maintained and peaceful. Good dog walks but would suggest a footpath map or online app to make the best choices found a walk to Chidingly was great.
The site could benefit from a little upgrading of roads and building of a toilet/shower block.
We will return later in the year.
Rural and peaceful
Quiet location, cattle and horses in adjacent fields. Quiet lanes, narrow in places. About 30 minute walk to village and pub. Open communal space uneven grass but ideal for our nervous dog. Nothing for children to do other than ride bikes around site.

Lovely site, peace and quiet
This site has one of the best dog walks we've come across, with a pleasant marked path leading through an area of woodland with bluebells and primroses. Why, then, do so many members not use the dog walk and exercise their dogs around the site, allowing them to mess and urinate wherever they choose, even on my pitch in one case. Apart from that, the site was lovely, warden was friendly and helpful, and it was nice and peaceful even over bank holiday weekend. There are a lot of seasonal pitches on this site and so some of the most attractive pitches are not available to tourers, but there was plenty of availability most of the time we were there. Not much for kids to do apart from ride around the site on their bikes.
