My last visit

Cadeside has always been a favourite with my husband and I. As pensioners the price was right. But on seeing the price increase planned for next year , we will be going to the other club . They give discounts to the over 60’s and have facilities. Shame but can’t see paying £20 a night is justified.

A great small site but big price increase on the way next year

A great small Site with friendly and helpful wardens, bonus for us was the secure storage in same location and even though we live in Derbyshire, it was ideal to drive down and stay a few nights visiting relatives nearby then off on our travels for two or three weeks, often back to Cadeside for a few more nights and then caravan back to store and a drive home before repeating the following month. Sadly the club has decided to increase the nightly fee from £15 to £20 a night from next year, so sadly we have cancelled our bookings and removed caravan from storage. Wouldn't have been to bad if it had been high season but a lot of our stays are out of season, so frankly the price is to high for a small with limited facilities. Pity, as we always enjoyed our stays at Cadeside but with 25 or 35 nights a year at Cadeside, the increase is far too high for us, but the bonus for us that it has opened our eyes to the huge range of touring sites available that are either privately owned or owned by alternative organisations which are similar or better value, so we are now booking and looking forward to exploring other sites along with the club ones.

A great site and great value!

What a great site! Like all club sites, it is clean and beautifully managed. A friendly welcome and great pitches. The only difference is there is no shower block and consequently it is at least half the price of other sites. Wellington is a short walk away and Taunton is a great place to visit by cycling along the quiet backroads as Cycleway No 3. I do hope there is an expansion of this type of site as they provide secure and peaceful stops when touring and represent much better value than the overpriced larger sites.

Lovely site

We stayed here for one night at the start of July 2019. Sited just outside of Wellington and close to the M5, this site is perfect for breaking the journey to/from Cornwall. No showers nor toilets, but there is EHU and black waste. Wellington is within easy reach and offers many eateries, a Waitrose and some pubs. The wardens are always cheerful and friendly and the site is kept clean and tidy. I understand that a drive over waste for motorhomes may be coming soon and that can only be an improvement. This is a lovely site.

Another stay at this small site

We are regular visitors to this small club site because it is ideally situated for catching up with friends and walking on the Quantock Hills, Blackdowns Hills and Exmoor. There is always a friendly welcome and the site is well maintained. It is only a short walk into Wellington which has a good range of independent shops and places to eat and drink. It has easy access to some great walking country and you can see our many walks from the site and surrounding area on my blog https://twodogsandanawning.co.uk/site/cadeside-caravan-club-site/

Great as an overnight stop and also for longer

Used this both as an overnight as just off M5 and also for a few days to explore Somerset. Small and quiet. Friendly and helpful wardens. Close to well served village. Large pitches. Good long dog walk. No tricky roads to negotiate to get there. Will use again.

Lovely place to stay

Our first visit was a nice surprise ! Small site, clean and beautifully laid out for privacy and to make the most of the surroundings. No facilities for kids...that’s a plus for us. Sorry, but we don’t enjoy them ! No toilet or showers...no problem for as we wouldn’t use them. Easy 15 min walk into Wellington which is a very pleasant town with good shops and eateries. There’s no drive over drain at the moment but hopefully that will be addressed before long. Will definitely be back !

Convenient site near M5

Used this site as a stopover whilst returning from Cornwall. Its very conveniently situated near the M5. It's a small site with friendly wardens, and given the fact that it is near a railway line not too noisy. The town of Wellington is only a 15 min walk away, and it has a number of large supermarkets, pubs and a variety of restaurants, which prove really useful. The site has been turned into a little jewel with birdfeeders and trees around the edges. The site is quite small, and has no showers or toilets, but is kept very clean and tidy.My husband even remarked he had never seen such a pristine elsan point. My only slight suggestion as to an improvement was the fact that when we returned from a walk at night there was no road lighting and no illumination at the entrance( roadside) to the site. As there was no pavement , when you were crossing the road cars would have difficulty seeing you. We also had difficulty seeing the entrance. Very minor gripe. Will be using the site again, its very reasonably priced.

Winter weekend great site

Just spent the weekend at Cadeside, site is very well maintanied staff are friendly had us booked in very quickly. All pitches have hard standings which is ideal for winter stays, Cadeside is a sheltered site again ideal for the winter. Being a small site gives the same sort of feel as a CL. Will visit again.
