Quiet & peaceful

A well presented site with beautiful floral displays. This site has no toilet or washroom facilities but is so peaceful and easily accessible from M5 motorway. We have just returned after 5 enjoyable nights and it is a perfect place to visit friends & other places of interest. this time it was Clarke's Village and Minehead. We are sure to go there again in the future as we enjoy using all the facilities modern caravans offer. This was our second visit & on both occasions we found the wardens friendly & helpful, which unfortunately is not always the case at all club sites.

Great overnight stop off

Stayed at Cadeside on the nights of 3rd and 4th of July to break the journey from Carsington Water to home in Redruth Cornwall. A journey of some 330 miles. The site was only a few minutes from the junction 26 on the M5. It's a small site next to a huge caravan storage site. There was an excellent dog walk round the perimeter of the storage area where dogs could run free. The site is beautifully kept by the lovely couple that run it. Loads of flowers round reception. Ther are no toilets or showers but there is the usual service point for water, rubbish etc and set back is a chemical toilet emptying point. It was only £14 a night but well worth it. I think we shall use it again if we are travelling a long way North again.

Great find

We have been traveling down to the South West & back now for a number of years, we have always broken our journey around the Wellington area stopping at a local private site. However, this time we decided to have a change as the amount of traffic noise at our usual site seemed to be increasing & so we tried this little site. We were very pleasantly surprised at how appealing it was as soon as we approached the entrance, it is on a much quieter road so little noise which was great. The wardens greeted us with a smile & “ You must be Mrs Thompson Welcome to Cadeside” which was a lovely touch. The whole site was extremely clean & tidy with a nice dog walk, complete with shovels & spare bags just in case..... it obviously worked as no dog mess anywhere which must be a record! All in all a great find, just a shame we didn’t find it sooner. We will definitely use it again.

Small but perfectly formed!!

The site is easy to find and the welcome is friendly. The pitches are large and the site is well maintained. The dog walk is safe and although not big, has a lot of trees and things to sniff!! You can walk along a safe pavement to Wellington in about 5 mins, where there are shops, pubs and cafes. If you want to visit Taunton, the bus stops outside the site.

Attractive and peaceful

We stayed at this site in March 2018, we enjoyed a warm and informative welcome. The site was spacious with large hard standing pitches. All facilities were clean and functional and the whole site was very well maintained. We enjoyed our stay and shall visit again. Recommended. Thanks Lou and Terri

Very convenient

Stayed here in February as it is only about an hour and a half drive from home. Lovely little site. Very well kept with plenty of lovely spring daffodils in flower. Only a short walk into Wellington and there is also a bus stop nearby and we were able to catch the bus into Taunton. We also walked from the site to the Wellington monument. It is only about four and a half miles away and is well signposted from the town. Would visit again as Taunton is such a god shopping centre and Wellington is nice with plenty of independent shops and cafes.

New Years

We stayed here for 4 nights over new year. A lovely peaceful site apart from the distant sound of the odd train. The welcome was very warm and friendly. The water and recycling facilities were great and the chemical waste disposal area was excellent. We enjoyed it that much ( despite mother nature’s best efforts with the wind and rain) we are going back for Easter.

Super short stay!

Lovely to return to Cadeside again, we always come at this point of the year to steal your conkers! Apparently they are good for scaring off spiders... Usual warm welcome and good choice of pitches, great dog walk and close to motorway and shops for visits and supplies. We stay because this site is close to family and we entertained whilst staying. It's amazing how many you can successfully feed in a caravan! Lots of good walking nearby and coming back to a well maintained site is part of what Cadeside is all about. Yes it's quiet, no there isn't a bathroom but all the facitilities are well looked after so it's not difficult to set up your van loo and fill the tank for a quick shower. We weren't the only family on site, nor had the only dog but the dog walk was clean and tidy and had we forgotten poo bags there were some we could have used right on the dog walk so there is no excuse! Looking forward to our next Autumnal visit!!

perfect stopover on M5 south

used just as stopover on the M5 on our way down to Cornwall. Very pleasant wardens, all hardstandings but with trees and grass around so doesnt feel sterile, only 16 pirches so no constant tooing and frowing of traffic, large secure dog walk along the perimeter of the storage compound, in comparison to the amount of pitches the dog walk is more than adequate, we have been on far bigger sites with either no dog walk or an excuse of one. 10 minute walk into Wellington where you will find an array of usual supermarkets and banks alongside a couple of pubs and some independent shops - will definitely use again

A Little Gem

We have now used this site as a stopover on 6 occasions. Its a long way to Cornwall and this is an ideal stopover. Very well positioned and close to the M5 but still nice and peaceful. Wellington has good supermarkets and garages that provide fuel at sensible prices. Each time we have stayed the wardens have been extremely pleasant. The pitches are all hard standing and the site is immaculate. A real gem of a site.
