Brilliant for city breaks

We have just returned from a great stay here, the wardens were very welcoming, friendly and informative. As previously mentioned the site is well maintained and peaceful, although it is on the flight path into Edinburgh Airport, I am a very light sleeper and I never found the noise intrusive.  The bus service into the city is excellent, with the bus stop an easy 10 min walk away. There is good access to the beach for dog walking. There is a mobile chip van that comes on a Fri & Sat night (we're not really fish and chip lovers), but I have to say the quality of the food was first class, all cooked fresh so there is a bit of a wait but it was well worth it and after a long day sight seeing in the city it was great to come back to good hot food without having to cook. We had a great time here and could have stayed much longer and have come away with loads of things still to do, we'll certainly be returning here soon.

Peaceful site

We arrived on Good Friday and stayed for a week at this lovely site. We were rewarded with beautiful warm sunny weather for the whole week. Wardens very friendly and helpful. The facilities were as expected very clean. This was our  fifth visit here as we love the site. We enjoy sitting outside watching the birds and squirrels. There is plenty to see and do in the area and it is convenient for the shops. The Kelpies and Falkirk Wheel are a must, although you might want to consider taking out a bank loan for ice creams at the wheel! The Toby restaurant is just along the road which is great for breakfast and carvery's. Although it is on the flight path for the airport the noise from the aircraft didn't disturb us. The Firth of Forth is just along the road and it's very relaxing to park up and watch the world go by.

Easter Week

Arrived on Good Friday, just as the rain stopped, and stayed away until after we were home the next Friday. Unfortunately, I can't credit the site or wardens for the weather, but it certainly helped our enjoyment! The wardens were extremely friendly and helpful. The site was clean and tidy and the toilet and shower facilities were very clean. We accessed the city centre by both car and public transport. It was all so convenient. My son reported that the WiFi, that he paid for, was not very reliable, but that is the only negative point that I can think of. Have been before. Would certainly come again. Best visit yet.

Easter break

Returned from a wonderful sunny break at this fantastically clean and spot less site. Our first visit. Wardens of which we spoke to them all during our week were extremely helpful and friendly. A great location for visiting the capital. We will be back.

Easter weekend

We loved the site handy for Musselburgh racing on the Friday.  Taxi service from the site on the Saturday into city centre and collected again for £6 per person return. Will come again perhaps for a theatre visit.

lovley site

We stayed at this site over the Easter weekend, lovely clean site warm welcome when we arrived , no complaints about the site at all, The only problem we had is when we popped to Morrisons on our push bikes me and my wife tied our bikes together with a bike chain, we were in Morrisons for no longer than 10 mins, someone managed to cut through the bike chain and pinch my bike, SO BEWARE OF THIEVES ! would recommend the site , we will be back, minus a bike, thank you to everyone at the Edinburgh site

Enjoyable stay

We have stayed here twice in March and this site is of the quality that you expect of the Caravan Club. The wardens were helpful, cheerful and always available. The site close to Cramond and if you require supermarket, Morrisons is a short drive away or 15minutes walk. Two lovely cafes in Cramond.

beautiful site

this is the first time we have been to the Edinburgh site and as usual it was immaculate clean and friendly like all caravan club sites. It is perfectly positioned for a lovely walk or bike ride on the prom getting a bus into the city is simplicity itself just don't come back after dark as the path is pitch black and it would be a bit risky to walk down. we had a very enjoyable stay here but were grateful it was only for 3 nights as it is right on the flight path for the airport and the police helicopter seemed to be needed every night which was rather annoying. It is this noise intrusion that would stop us from returning
