Good for families

Not for me

On arrival on a narrow lane with some pot holes that are ridiculous the receptionist was very polite and helpfull as was the gentleman directing arrivals .we booked 2 nights on a blue peg via a phone call on our way back home from the Lakes. The blue pitches are a joke one in particular no34 you need leveling blocks which we still found not suitable so we moved to another pitch although not great we pitched there the blue peg pitches I know are for no awnings but some are very tight or not Level which bugs me because their is no information in the club guide book about sloping pitches and levelling blocks required. The facilities as per usual are excellent WiFi rubbish. You either like forest sites or you don't for me it's more the pitches aren't you usual standard for clubs clubsites to much shale and no grass mabe had I booked a white peg pitch I may feel different but unlikely. I know I'm in a minority on this review but because we where unfamiliar with the site layout and because you couldn't define where the good pitches where you driving around hunting for the needle in the haystack . deff don't pick a blue peg if your going to stop here unless you have a camper van. And deff take some leveling ramps with you. Would I stay here again .....unlikely but that is no reflection on the staff they are great the site for me isn't . Pitches should be at the same standard when the prices are the same and at £32 a night I don't expect to start having to level up my caravan On the toss of a coin if I get a flat pitch or not,. In 40 yrs of caravaning if the sites not level I don't go on it unless I use a C/L site in which case I pay the appropriate pitch fee.
