A must

From the moment we pulled up, we knew we were in for a great stay. Check in was efficient and well thought through, I particularly liked that we could choose our own pitch by taking a walk and choosing. All pitches had great views, we chose right on the front, from our windscreen, a picture postcard panoramic view. The facilities were clean and tidy, the site immediately onto the South West Coastal Path, local towns/villages within walking distance (albeit up and down!). I would stay here again, just for the views and peaceful location. Very high standards and on site staff regularly patrolling to ensure all was well. Awesome.

Awesome sunsets

I stayed at Trewethett in my camper van for a week in March, just as the site opened for the season. Working from the van during the day, it made my colleagues very jealous to see the incredible views and sunsets I was enjoying. Very relaxing and I felt very safe as a sole female camper. Facilities are kept in perfect order, staff are helpful, the coast path is accessible from the site. The winds were strong and other campers were not sitting out on deck chairs so the season was not great for socializing! I shall try again with better weather.

Just Perfect

We woke up both mornings with a view of the sea - what more could you want? Spotless facilities and helpful staff. A nice feel to the site and easy access to the coastal path.

Lovely Site Good Location

This was our 2nd time at this site. Lovely quiet site great pitches. Excellent location great walks from site to Boscastle and Tintagel. Good facilities but could do with make over as looking tired compared to other sites we have stayed at. That said facilities are very clean. Staff are very friendly and helpful. We will definitely be back next year.

Terrific posistion but facilities getting tired.

Stayed for 2 weeks at the end of September 2021, one week gorgeous, one wet n very windy, but that's coastal Cornwall.Toilet Facilities are good but desperately need a 'Deep Clean' and broken tiles replaced as it's getting tired and bit grubby. Great dog exercise field, my dog loved it. Nice to be getting back to normal again, and Trewethett is lovely, Could do with a few serviced pitches otherwise perfect. Like the method of choosing pitches in busy times, very clever.

Windy Week

We stayed around a week here and the views are fantastic There’s only one good sized toilet and shower block so be prepared for a bit of a trek depending on pitch The facilities are clean and perfectly ok if a tiny bit dated now. There’s a fish and chip truck at weekends albeit it doesn’t stay long and has a limited menu Great access onto the coastal path from the site and good walks in either direction for Tintagel and Boscastle The staff were a mixed bag with the female staff very polite and the male one a bit rude and sarcastic Worth a stay if you’ve not visited the nearby locations above before but I don’t think we’d stay again as there’s not much else in the immediate area

Fantastic site and wardens

Had a lovely few days at Trewethet...beautiful site in a stunning location. The wardens were great...very friendly and helpful .. and kept the site very clean and tidy. The walk/climb down to Rocky Valley was stunning. The fish and chip van on Friday evening's was a bonus as the site is quite remote ...really good fish and chips too. Thank you to all the staff for a lovely peaceful stay

Lovely Sea Views

This site has lovely sea views if you are lucky enough to get a pitch at the front. On arrival we were given a friendly welcome. The warden informed us that the site was busy and there were no sea view pitches left. She suggested that there were a few people leaving the following day and if I returned at 9am she would be able to give us a sea view pitch. As we were there for 6 nights we decided to do this and parked on the first empty pitch available until the following day. We took a walk around the site and got talking to a couple, who had a sea view pitch. They informed us that they had also swapped pitches to get a sae view and this was normal for this site. They informed us there neighbours were leaving tomorrow. I noted the number of pitch and the following morning at 9am returned to the office. There was another person in front of me doing the same thing. I informed the warden of the number and she gave me a piece of plastic drainpipe, which she told me to go and place over the number to show it was reserved. I was concerned as there was someone still on the pitch she assured me it was fine. I did as requested and the person on the pitch was happy to reserve it. commenting this is what everyone does. The sea views are stunning, well worth the move. The site is spread out over a large area on different levels, there are hard standing and grass pitches. Depending were you are you might need chocks. The pitch we had appeared larger then some pitches we have been on in the past and accommodated are awning. The staff were friendly always smiling and saying hello. The site was clean and tidy. The toilets/shower facilites were cleaned regularly. I used the laundry room which was also clean. There is a bus stop at the top of the drive of the site giving you access to nearby towns. My husband and I used the bus service on a couple of occasions. There were also two coastal walks from the site, if you enjoy walking. Lovely site and would return.

An excellent site and location overlooking the coast.

We've stayed at Trewethett Farm site several times over the years and cannot fault it. Well maintained site, good facilities, large pitches, friendly and helpful wardens, great location with most pitches overlooking the sea so can be windy at times, cliff walks into Tintagel and Boscastle. Nearby Padstow is certainly worth visiting but very busy throughout the season. Nice walk down to the cafe in the bay overlooking the castle and for the less energetic, a useful Landrover ride back up to the town. Highly recommend this site but book early as it is very popular.
