A little slice of the UK in Normandie

We spent a week here in May 2023 on a short break to visit the D Day Beaches and see the Bayeux Tapestry. This is a lovely little site (about 50 pitches) set in a large village just off the motorway but far enough for noise not to be a problem. The site is owned and directly managed by a British Couple who cannot do enough to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. The facilities are all recently refurbished and of a high standard and they have a lovely restaurant bar which serves one of the best burgers I have eaten in many a year. The village appears to welcome the Brits as seems the 11th Armoured Corps liberated them in 1944 and there is an excellent, interesting museum in the village that is well worth a visit. We would certainly return and we cannot but recommend "Under he Normandy Stars Campsite" most highly.
